The sun was shining through the windows brightly, this woke up Amber. She denoted that there was nothing else moving in the house despite it being morning. She chose to check Bryan's room to see if he was there.
Knock knock knock
Nothing.
"Strange,"she said under her breath.
She paused at the door. Gathering her thoughts she padded down the hallway to the kitchen. Once there she threw a pot of coffee on and went back to her room to do her routine.
She opened her schedule book and sighed out of relief when she saw she had nothing to do. A day off was a coveted thing in this business. Moving from her desk she grabbed a pair of comfy shorts, sports bra, and a tank top to head to the shower.
Once she got to the bathroom she went about her pamper day shower routine, as she so happily called it.
She dimmed the lights and lit a peach candle and a vanilla candle. Once they were glowing a warm yellow she slipped off her robe and stepped into the warm shower. Amber used a peach scrub and matching body wash. Her hair got pampered with her favorite vanilla scented shampoo and treatment. The perk of working in Hollywood is getting what you want without questions asked. She turned off the shower and used her moisturizer, relishing in how wonderful her skin always felt after.
Her skincare routine for her face was short and sweet. After she brushed her teeth Amber threw on her clothes and went back out to the kitchen.
She took the hot coffee and a mug and poured it. It was still far too hot to drink so Amber made pancakes with strawberries from the fridge. While they were frying she was happily reminded of something good from her childhood.
Flash back
Bacon was cooking in a pan while a woman in her early thirties poked at the pan. She wore a light yellow apron with a long, teal skirt. Her smile seemed to illuminate the room from the little girls view.
There was a coloring book open on the kitchen table while cartoons buzzed on the television in the background.
"You father is out in the city for business, so we get to wake up late and have fun. Right dear?"
End flashback
After breakfast she grabbed a book from her bedside table and flopped down. The book wasn't all that important, just some random mind-fluff. She pleasantly read until a click heard at the door.
She got up and went to greet who she assumed was Bryan.
"Hey," he said quietly, after dropping his bag at the door.
" So what we're you up to?" Amber wondered aloud at him.
"Out," Bryan said plainly.
Amber raised an eyebrow and said nothing more.
"So what's planned today princess?""RR&NGAS"
" I don't even know what that is but whatever you need" The man was confused but accepting.
"It means rest, relaxation, and not giving a shit. I suppose the best way could be to get out into the world and try to make some friends." Amber stated.
"I could always introduce you to my friends around here, be warned though they can be... intense" Bryan said with a lengthy pause.
"Ok, casual or something a bit put up?" Amber questioned.
"Casual"
The pair got up and got ready for a meeting that neither really thought much of, but will change lives.
