Chapter Nine- Imagine

I gasp as I break the surface of the water. "God, that's freezing, Maxon!"
He paddles over to me and wraps his strong arms around me. "Warmer now?" He smirks and I wrap my legs around his waist.
I place my finger on my chin mockingly and think. "Hmm... Definitely hotter." I smirk back at him and he raises his eye brow.
"Too hot to stay in here?" He murmurs.
"Not quite." I whisper. "Although maybe in a few minutes. He moves his head gently and softly places a kiss on my lips. I kiss him back and place my arms on his shoulders.
His fingertips slide under my thighs and lifts them slightly so they're simply hanging in the clear water and then places his hands on my waist again, gently moving them up and down my side. Finally he grips this muscle right under my ribs and I scream as he throws me backwards into the water.
"You... Are... Evil!" I pant as I come back up, my hair now soaking wet again. I pull down on my bikini top as it had flipped up just a bit, and wonder if that was the whole point of the exercise. He laughs as I swim over, but stops as I kick him right in the balls.
"JEEZ AMERICA!" He exclaims and I laugh in his face as he did just before. "Oh, shut up!" He removes one hand from his royal jewels and uses it to punch me in the arm.
"Owww." I pout and cover my arm.
"Yeah." He says and turns away playfully. I clamber onto his back. "Oi, off!" He shrugs and tries to get me to fall off, but this only makes me tighten his grip.
Suddenly he lurches forward and wades towards the bank of the lake. He climbs out with me still on his back and sits down on our picnic rug. "Ahhh..." He sighs and begins to lie down.
"Ugh, Maxon, stop!" I push my hands into his shoulder blades, careful to try and not press on any scars. But he keeps leaning further and further back, so I roll out from underneath him and climb onto his chest so my face is inches from his.
"Hi Maxon." I say.
"Lady America." He replies.
"I love you."
"I love you more than you can imagine." He replies softly.
I whisper, "I can try."
