Declan and Elaine paid Joey's bond James and Winnie didn't press charges cause they knew that Bucky wouldn't want that.
It was July 21st the day they were suppose to start their forever. Bucky was experiencing the first grueling day of summer training. Trying to forget what was suppose to happen that day before he said yes to the NFL.
While in Brunswick, Joey had moved into her own duplex. Her bathroom floor was covered in their photos as she filled her bathtub. She downed a bottle of sleeping pills with a bottle of tequila. She broke a razor and slashed her wrists as she sat in the bath tub.
She lowered herself into the water as Cimorelli's cover of The Night We Met played on repeat. Elaine or Declan couldn't get ahold of her. They called their other three kids they all got no answer.
Raegan called around as she drove over to her sister's. When she walked in the song was over.
"Joey?!" Raegan said as she looked around
She went upstairs to her sister's bedroom. "Joey are you asleep?" Raegan said
When she walked around she saw the pictures leading to the bathtub. Then the blood dripping down the side of the tub. The empty pill bottle and empty tequila bottle.
"JOEY!!" Raegan ran and pulled her out of the tub.
"Joey Joey come on wake up sweet sister." She said as she tapped her face.
She called her parents and 911. She threw her sister's ihome to stop the song from playing as she screamed. Elaine hugged her. "It's okay she has a faint heart beat." Elaine whispered
They all went to the hospital Elaine made the phone call to Winnie and James. Winnie James Brandon and Hannah joined the Grundys at the hospital. After waiting for awhile the doctor finally came out.
"She's going to be fine. We pumped her stomach we stitched her up. She will wake up on her own. You all found her just in time..we do have to take her to the psych floor though. The psychologist will be able to determine the best course of action for your daughter. But the nurse here will take you all to her." Dr Burkeson said
"Thank you Doctor Burkeson." Elaine said
"Welcome Dr Grundy." She said as she walked off.
Meanwhile back in NY Bucky tried calling Joey's phone. But like always he gets no answer and her voicemail is full from him leaving voicemails of his apologies, him singing to her songs that he's been listening to lately.
Bucky laid his head against the window as the rain fell as tears fell. In his apartment it was filled with his sad songs. The one that was playing "More Than Miles." By Brantley Gilbert
