"Mommy that's too tight" Makayla whined as she stomped her foot dramatically Arching her back and neck as she tried to get away from her mothers rough hands flinching when she felt the burning sensation of the thick plastic comb colliding with her hand . "Owwwww" she cried out like the world was ending .
"Girl hold still damn" Annie said straightening her back up . "No daughter of mine is going to be walking around here looking like nobody cares about her . If you want to be mad at somebody be mad at your daddy for giving you this thick ass hair and that unibrow" she said moving her daughters hand again as she dipped her brush in water and then gel before slicking her child's hair back securing the ponytail .
Annie was short for Anika , and she wasn't your average mother .
Many people would frown at her for having two kids and being a stripper but no matter how many things she had , she never had a fuck to give . As long as her kids were taken care of she didn't need to hear anyone else's opinions , especially her older brother Shawn's .
"Okay so what did I tell you ?" Annie asked making Makayla stand up so she could check her outfit one last time .
"If somebody hits me hit them back , be nice to my teacher , don't let anyone play in my hair , and do my work , oh- and if someone offers me something take it but finesses them" she smiled proud of herself for remembering all her moms rules .
Today was her first day of third grade and she was kind of nervous since she had never been to this school before in particular but she felt she would do well .
If she didn't make any friends , she was always guaranteed to be teachers pet .
"Thank you mommy" Makayla said looking at her hair in the little mirror her mom handed her . "It's so pretty" she gushed as she looked at the plastic butterfly clips and the baby hair her mom had slicked down with a toothbrush for her .
