The couple were laying down, one awake, the other asleep. It had been only 2 days since Natsu had saved Lucy from the bandits, and she has not woken up since that night. Her mate was beginning to get worried, he would sit on a stool next to her bed for hours, waiting for the beautiful mage to wake up. He has taken great care of her, helping her drink water so she could survive. The pinkette hadn't figured out how to feed her yet, but he thought she would be fine. Natsu gazed out the window, holding his lover close while Idly stoking her long hair, as she often did to him.
'Why hasn't she woken up yet? I'm getting worried, maybe I should wake her up? No, she needs this rest. She was just assaulted 2 days ago I need to give her time to rest.' He reassured himself. Right then, he felt her shuffle as her eyelashes fluttered open, grazing his chest.
"N-natsu?" Her voice was scratchy and tired, but still sounded beautiful to Natsu.
"How are you feeling Luce?" He let his grip lessen as he admired her. Lucy brought her hands up to her eyes and rubbed them.
"Everything is sore, and it hurts." She muttered. "But do you know what would be really nice right now?"
"What's that?"
"Some cuddles." The blond feebly latched onto her trusted partner, his heat bringing her relaxation. Natsu chuckled and kissed her cheek.
"Luce."
"Hm? What is it?"
"Did you know I love you?"
"I love you more, Natsu."
Natsu chuckled. "No way! I love you way more!"
"Lying is a bad habit Natsu, I know for a fact that I love you tons more than you do!"
Lucy playfully wagged her finger. Natsu let go of her and Lucy did the same.
"Well yeah I know that, and I'm not the one lying, you are! Do you know how I know?"
Lucy rolled her eyes. "How do you know, Natsu?" He mischievously giggled before tickling her.
"Because the tickle monster only attacks liars!" The Celestial wizard busted out laughing as her partner tickled her mercilessly.
"N-natsu stop! I'm not lying!" Lucy yelled in between her laughs. Natsu had pinned down her arms and legs gently so she wouldn't thrash them and possibly hurt herself.
"Never! Not until you admit that I was right!" He had his signature smile plastered on his face. The tickling went on for a while until Natsu finally stopped. Lucy's face was red and she was gasping for breath. "I'm... so....getting you back....for that!" Lucy panted, playfully punching his arm. Natsu laughed.
"Sure you are. But can I hug you again? Please?" Natsu turned his pink head to the side to look at Lucy. His Lucy. He could tell that she did have fun, and was glad he could make her laugh and smile. His mate put a finger on her cheek, acting like she was thinking about it.
"Well I guess if you apologize for tickling me, then maybe." She elongated the 'e' and 's' in 'guess'. Natsu sheepishly smiled. "I'm sorry for ticking you, can I please hug you?" Lucy nodded and snuggled into him, smiling. He carefully hugged back throwing the blanket over themselves.

"Natsu, can I get up now?” Luce whined, looking at me from the bed. I shook my head.
"No. You need to heal, you can't even walk yet." I carefully brought in a plate with her breakfast and a cup filled with milk for her.
"I can too!" She muttered. I  place the plate and cup on the nightstand. "Do it then." I cross my arms. "I wanna see you walk right here, right now." Luce huffs and carefully slips out of bed, shakily standing up. She took a few wobbly steps and smirked at me. Yeah, there's no way in hell am I letting her go out in this condition. There's all sorts of creeps who'd take advantage of her weak state. "No. Your not ready yet, it's only been half a week! Now go sit."

I feel angered at his words. I just have this feeling, like I want to get away from him? It's been nagging me for the past week.
"No. I'm going out whether you like it or not!" I steady myself before storming out the door. Natsu snatched my delicate hand.
"Your still too fragile Luce." He gently reminded. Fragile? Fragile?!
