|•|Hey! I'm sorry I was gone for a little, I got wrapped up in some stuff, but I am back to writing my story for the couple of souls who actually enjoy and read it! Thank you and please enjoy this chapter! <3||

I had been awake for a while,  just laying down and running my fingers through my dragon slayers pink hair. He seems to enjoy that, I've found. Natsu was still asleep, his handsome face relaxed . My hand brushed against his forehead, but I quickly snatched it back In surprise. His forehead was searing hot! I knew he was raising his body temperature but still, it's unusual. Maybe I should wake him up? What if he's sick? Taking a deep breath in and out, I gently grab his shoulder and shake him awake. ”Natsu, wake up." Natsu stirred and deeply exhaled. "Nooo..." he sniffed his nose and hugged me tighter, digging his face onto the crook of my neck. I blush and shake him again.
"Come on Natsu, I need to ask you something." I whine
"What is it?" His voice was deep and husky, it was clear he hadn't fully waken up yet.
"Are you feeling well?"
Natsu hesitated. "Yeah, I feel fine."
"So you don't feel sick?"
"Nope, not one bit."
"Natsu, don't lie to me."
He opened his eyes and glared at me. "I'm not. Lets just go back to sleep." He growled before closing them again. I huff.
"No Natsu, Your forehead is burning up, you have a stuffy nose, your sick Natsu! Why won't you admit it? Why won't you let me help you?" I push myself away from his grasp so I can properly look at his face. He sighs and opens his eyes once more.
"Because Luce, If I'm sick I can't protect you! Especially when your hurt, I'm scared. All I want to do is keep you safe and happy." His onyx eyes advert from mine.
I shake my head. He really does care so much about me, but I care for his health too.
"Natsu, I know that you want to protect me, but how do you expect to do that in your current state?" I ask.

"Natsu, I know that you want to protect me, but how do you expect to do that in your current state?" She wasn't trying to start a fight, her voice sounded soft and worried.
Still looking down, I mumble a few words.
Luce cups her hands around my cheeks. "Natsu, please look at me." I do as she asks, gazing into her beautiful, brown, loving eyes.
"Please, let me take care of you, Natsu. Just for once?" She was right, I was sick. My stomach was feeling horrible, and I couldn't smell very well due to my stuffy nose. Not to mention the fact that my head was pounding. Plus, the idea of being coddled by Lucy all day wasn't so bad, I bet If I ask her she would let me hold her all day! That'd be amazing, nothing would be more perfect. I can love her and protect her at the same time!
"Okay, fine. But only if we cuddle for a little." I finally agree, and Lucy smiles. She smiled! I made her happy! She moves her hands behind my head and brings our faces closer. She leans in and kisses my lips. I was shocked and surprised, however I kissed back. Unfortunately the kiss didn't last forever, but God I wish it did.
"Thank you Natsu." Luce whispered softly in my ear. She then got up and walked out of the room. She's leaving?
"Luce where are you going?" I sadly called out.
"To make us breakfast, I'll be back soon." She disappeared downstairs. I miss her already. This is different from what I usually feel, or rather, what I've been feeling for the last week and a half. I get up and walk to the bookshelf in our room. Running my fingers along the many books, I fail to find anything that might help. I had lent Gajeel my guide to Mating season. That ass didn't return it! Tch. 'Maybe I'm going through a stage transition? The third stage is Physically affectionate I think, or is it? Damn you mating season!' I let myself flop down onto our bed, waiting for Lucy. I'm glad she's healing, though I can tell she's hurting. She's strong though, so I'm sure she'll be fine. But I don't like not being able to smell her. Suddenly a hear a sharp yelp, I bolt out of my bed and ran down the stairs.
"Are you okay Luce?!" I see my blond maye shaking her hand side to side violently. Did she hurt herself?
"Yeah I'm fine Natsu, just burned myself on the pan." She casts me a warm smile. "Hey, shouldn't you be in bed?" I stiffen and rub the back of my neck. "I came down to check on you!" I nervously grinned. Abandoning her post at the stove, Luce swiftly shoos me up the stairs, saying how I should "be resting" and that I "won't get better if I keep this up". I sigh and trudge up the stairs, when I reach the top I turn around and yell down "I love you!" To Lucy.

Natsu yells down a quick "I love you!" and I reply "I love you more!" Before I hear his door click, signaling he had closed it. After 10 minutes, I had finally finished his break fast, Fluffy pancakes with chocolate chips inside. Reaching in the cabinet for a glass, I manage to successfully grab one. Natsu had grown the past years, so now he towers over me. At least it's not as bad as Gajeel and levy, if I stand on my tip toes I can semi-look Natsu in the eyes. I sigh and also grab a plate, setting it on the counter. Using my hands(which I washed), I place the pancakes on top of each other, I made a lot, since I know Natsu eats like a pig. Then I full his glass with milk and grab his utensils, a fork, knife, and a napkin. My feet go in the direction of the stairs, tediously walking up them, careful not to drop anything. I lift up my foot and open his door.
