You've always wanted to be a basketball player. Despite your lack of experience and knowledge in basketball, you would always work your best to sort out your problem.

The first time you peeked an interest in basketball was on a basketball competition that was being held by your school, Kaijo.

You watched as they skillfully shoot balls, as it goes in perfectly.

You were amazed by your best friend, Kise Ryouta.

Even though he was often bullied by his upperclassmen, he always managed to do his best at basketball.

He's the one who keeps encouraging you to play basketball, even though many people have doubts on you.

He's the one that inspiring you to get better and better each day.

He's the one who taught you the joy of playing basketball.

But sadly, your parents won't support you on your basketball career. They kept telling you to get something better to do, or you just need to practice dribbling and shooting.

Basketball isn't just about dribbling and shooting.

Those words struck your heart and wounded you deeply. You love basketball, even if you know that you're not that good enough to play in the court. You still want to work your best at it.

You hung your head low as you dribble a ball in your hand.

"Just practice as it is. You'll get bored of it soon or later anyway."

You squinted your eyes. Even though your mother has an experience in playing basketball, she won't even tell you a thing.

You saw tears falling from your eyes, "Eh, why am I crying?" You wiped away some of it, but it kept coming, and soon it falls rapidly. You sat on the court, and hugged your knees. The only one who's been there the whole time to support you was only Kise. He always taught you not to give up on your dreams.

But then again, you felt discouraged because of people's doubts.

A sound of the gym's door being opened surprised you. You quickly wiped away your tears.

"Eh? (First Name)cchi? What are you doing here?"

He eyed the ball in your hands, "Are you practicing your basketball?"

You nodded slowly. You felt the need to tell him everything. You don't know what to do anymore. Tears formed back on the corner of your eyes.

"Ehh, (First Name)cchi, why are you crying?!" He panicked and flails his arms around.

You cried more as you tell him everything. About your passion, about people's doubts, everything.

He listened to you as he patted your head every once in a while.

"So that's the case..." he mumbled.

"If that's the case," he picked up a ball, "I'll be the one to teach you everything about basketball then!" He exclaimed with a big smile on his face.

"Are you serious?" You wiped away your tears.

"Mhm, after all, I can't let (First Name)cchi down. What kind of friend who lets their friend down?"

He flashed one of his famous smile at you.

You smiled at him as you hugged him tightly, "Thank you, Kise-kun."

He hugged you back, as tight as your hug, "You're welcome, (First Name)cchi."

This is basically story of my life. I just decided to make it into a story, since it was such a good idea, I think.

I really want to be good at basketball, yet friends doubts me. And so does my parents. I know I'm not that good, I don't have experience on basketball, and moreover my physical condition is not the best for a basketball player.
Still, I want to be good at it ;-;

Sorry about the rant. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it.
