Chapter 7

Hunter's P.O.V

I threw my arms around Harry's neck and kissed him. I was so excited to be back on the Isle and in his arms again.
"I missed you so much!" I whined with teary eyes as Zach hugged us both from behind.
"I missed ya too" Harry smiled down at me as he lifted me up into a bridal carry.
I wrapped my tail around him so it wouldn't be dragged across the ground as we headed towards the Isle orphanage.

That night, the three of them slept curled up in they're nest together. Arms, legs and tail tangled together harmoniously.

The next morning, I stood in the kitchen and prepared pancakes and formula for everyone with a smile on my face.
"Hunter!" My friends and the toddlers yelled in excitement as they through themselves at me.
I could only chuckle with joy as I hugged them all back.
"Hunter. Never leave us again! We are hopeless without you" Carlisle and Catrina complained in unison as Ace, Jared and Caleb nodded in agreement.
"You can't be that bad" I chuckled as I let the toddlers play on my tail.
"None of them can cook!" the toddlers complained in unison, causing me to laugh.
"Well, don't worry. I've made pancakes" I smile as they all ran to the dining table and sat waiting in excitement.
I served them all pancakes as Caleb and Jared went and got all the sleeping children.
Once I finished serving, I grabbed the ready bottles and carted them to the babies room where I proceeded to feed and burp them all before checking if they needed changing.
Ace and Catrina entered and helped me set up the infants in the their designated play room.
For the rest of the day, I enjoyed caring for my friends and the orphaned children.

It was the full moon again, and this time I cuddled with m two wolves as they nuzzled into me. Happy to have their pregnant mate with them.
The next day, Hunter awoke to bursts of pain channelling along the underside of his tail. Untangling himself from his mates, he let instinct take over him and moved to the closet, taking a few blankets with him and started making a nest inside of it with the blankets and all the clothes inside. Once done, he curled up in the cloth nest and allowed two large eggs to free themselves from his eggsack with a pained hiss.
Zachary and Harry, who had awoken to Hunter stealing the blankets from under them and watched their mate, stood outside the closet with curious expressions.
Suddenly, Hades and Medusa burst into the room with excited expressions. The two males growling at them territorialy.
"How is he?" Hades asked, ignoring the wolves.
Hunter, who heard the chaos, poked his torso out of his nest and hissed at the four.
"Hunter, let us see!" Medusa hissed back.
Harry and Zachary looked at the woman with tilted heads of confusion.
"Hunter just laid an egg" Hades groaned in annoyance at the two idiots that impregnated his son.
"Two, and fine" Hunter sighed in annoyance as he gestured them to come closure before retreating into his nest.
Inside, Hunter situated himself so he was behind the eggs that his tail was coiled around.
Hades quickly pulled out a torch from his pocket and flicked it on before poking his head inside.
Once situated so he doesn't set his son's instincts off, he let his gaze befall on the two eggs before him. Both a pale blue with silver flecks.
"So that's what you meant by two," the man smirked, "can I check them?" Hades asked, using the torch to gesture to the eggs.
"Fine. Be careful or I'll castrate you" Hunter stated warily.
Hades nodded before gently resting the torch on top of the first egg so that they could see the infant inside before inspecting the other. Hunter looked at his father nervously when he sighed sadly.
"Congratulations on identical twin boys. But I'm sorry to say that your daughter won't make it. The genetics didn't do kindly to her" Hades sighed sadly as he broke the news to his son.
Hunter could only gaze teary eyed at his father. Hades could only kiss his son's forehead before removing himself from the nest.
"We'll return tomorrow when they hatch," Hades sighed to the three that had been listening intently, "make sure you stay with him at all times."
Zachary and Harry watched in devastation as their mate's parents left the room solemnly.
Sighing, they gently climbed into the nest and laid down beside their mate to comfort him.
