Hunter

"Harry, your back!" I shouted out excitedly, lunging forward to could around my boyfriend in a tight hug.

"Hey sugar, been a minute ain't it" Harry chuckled as he wheezed.

"Hunter, you might wanna let him go before he gets as blue as your tail" Zach chortled as he stood nearby, our sons sleeping in his arms, a head on either shoulder.

"Harry, I'm so sorry. Please tell us everything!"I said excitedly, loosening my grip on the red-clothed male.

"All good. It was utter chaos though. Audrey's in a coma but Mal sent for your Dad so she'll be fine or whatever. Worst villian story ever though. Mal had her beaten by lying to us about freeing everyone and admitting so before the big boss fight. Only reason I even helped was because Audrey dared to swipe Celia" Harry ranted out as he began to pace, fiddling with a jar in his hands.

"Harry, it's okay, we'll figure something out. Though knowing Mal, she'll take down the barrier at the last minute without bothering to ensure everyone's safety by capturing high-risk villains like the Horned King or Scar" I groaned at the end of my small rant with an eye roll before pulling Harry into another hug.

"Yeah, you're probably right. I really need to crash though, I haven't slept in days" Harry groaned as he slumped against me.

"Come on then, let's join Asher and Caster for a nap in our nest" I smiled comfortingly as I guided Harry into the orphanage that we lived in.

"Good idea" Zachary chuckled as Harry could only groan tiredly.

Zachary

I sat by the only non-boarded-up window in our room as the barrier was brought down. I could feel power surge through my body and saw Hunter, Caster and Asher's skin become more vibrant as power surged through their own bodies.

"Harry, Hunter, wake up. Mal actually set us free" I practically howled in excitement as I stumbled over my feet to reach them.

"Zach, did you have to" Hunter whined when I fell accidentally broke a corner of his nest.

I'm glad he didn't bite me for that I winced as I quickly moved away from him to grab our twin sons. Safety in numbers, hopefully.

"Sorry, now please wake up" I chuckled nervously as I started moving towards the stairs.

"Fine, let me get Harry up. He'd wanna join Uma out there anyway" Hunter sighed tiredly as I heard shuffling noises behind me.

Harry

I opened my eyes blearily to see Hunters beautiful orbs staring at me with the sun reflecting off of them. Wait, when was there sunlight on the Isle?

"Come on, let's go join Uma in Auradon" Hunter chuckled as he rose fully.

"Wait, did Mal actually bring down the barrier?" I asked excitedly.

"Yep, now hurry up pirate" Hunter smiled, fangs on full display.

"Yes, finally!" I shouted excitedly as I jumped from the nest in my underwear and a loose shirt, headed for freedom.

"Put some pants on first at least" Hunter called after me as said pants hit my head.

I could only cackle as I pulled them on before grabbing my coat and running down the street to the golden bridge connecting the two lands.

Hunter

I could only laugh with Zachary as we watched Harry run off down the 6 street, jumping over the larger cracks

"We should really follow him" Zachary smiled down at me before heading towards the giant glitter bridge.

All of the isle walked across the bridge, us older teens helping the younger children safely as everyone found themselves in joyous song. Zach and I smiled warily as we watched them enjoy the night. Caster and Asher glancing around curiously.

"We should probably talk to Mal and Ben after this is all over. I bet they haven't even planned anything like doctor check-ups, housing or anything to do with assimilation. A lot of us raised or bought to the isle aren't even educated or school-age" I groaned nervously, hyperaware of the people dancing around my tail.

"Yeah, you're probably right. Let's go find a corner where your tail won't get hurt" Zachary smiled down at me before guiding us towards a random park bench nearby.

As we sat there, we were slowly joined by Harry and snuggled together with our sons, gazing at our friends. We were finally free and happy future was looking our way. As long as Mal doesn't decide to go back on her words, again.

~10 years later~

Zachary

"I'm home" I called with a smile, shutting the door behind me as I entered our house.

It was a one-story family home backing onto the forest, earthy tones and wooden furniture and flooring filled the rooms. They were close to the daycare that Hunter owned with his friends and the dock where Harry and Uma moored every Autumn after sailing the ocean. I myself worked at a blacksmith  with Grumpy's son, Caelan.

Life was moving smoothly now that everyone from the isle had assimilated into Auradonian life, new fairytale being made everyday within this happily ever after.

Asher and Caster were now 10 and going to school, friends with Charlie and Chrystal, the conjoined twin daughters of Cerberus and Aven, the adopted child of Ariel's sister Alana.

Then there was our 8 year old daughter, Azeria, with black hair, tan skin like mine and Harry's light blue eyes. She is very active and ends up sailing with Harry a lot if she isn't at school with Uma's twin sons Uzair and Uttam.

Finally, our twin 4 year olds Ginger and Basil. Both with auburn locks, green eyes and pale skin. Ginger is covered in freckles and Basil has a tree snake tail. Both love exploring the forest though Basil prefers playing with the wild animals and basking in trees with Hunter. While Ginger loves playing with Mal's daughter Marcia, Jay's daughter Layla, and Chad's son Caspian. Plus, she was a wolf like me and had shifted on the last full moon, her auburn pup is adorable.

"Daddy!" Ginger and Basil look up from where they are drawing at the coffee table with pudgy smiles.

"What are you two drawing?" I ask curiously as I hang up my coat in the hallway cupboard.

"I'm drawing a castle" Ginger says happily while Basil holds up a messily drawn tree with him and Hunter basking in it.

"Those look amazing"  I say walking over to get a closer look.

"Hi, love" Hunter calls from the hammock hanging from the roof above tiredly.

"Where is everyone else?" I ask, sitting down on the couch and leaning back so I can see his drowsy face, adorable as ever.

"Asher and Caster are on a date with Charlie and Chrystal, and Azeria should be headed back from the docks with Harry" Hunter smiled, sliding down to join me on the couch.

"When did they start dating?" I asked confused.

"They haven't, too young to understand their feelings but they aren't to long off" Hunter chuckled, leaning closer for a kiss.

"We're home!" Harry and Azeria called out as the front door slammed open.

"Dada, Azi!" The twins called out excitedly, Ginger running over to join the two while Basil just waited for them to move closer so he could coil around Harry's leg.

Life was so much happier and safer now they were off the isle. I only wished we were off sooner so that our oldest daughter could have been with us. But now is not the time for that, we will make happy memories to share with her when we eventually pass on.
