*.•°°• MY RIDE OR DIE °•°•.*
THIRD PERSON

The man took Beverly to the warehouse, she wondered why this man was basically turning against Raine. "This is huge." She mumbled, she held her stomach as they both walked in.

There were people of different colors, genders... anyone you could think of. "Where is this room your talking about?" She asked him.

"Follow me." He muttered, he walked her to a room, that had bars on it, he took his finger and pressed it against the little finger pad. She eyed as he opened the door slowly. She heard little cries. "Please no more." She heard, her heart broke at the tone.

"Hey hey..." Beverly started off slowly. The woman was crying hard, looking away. "Please don't hurt me. I-I'm sorry." The woman said. "I don't hurt you, I promise." Beverly said softly.

The woman didn't recognize the girls voice, so she looked over. Not expecting to see a pregnant woman. "I just came here to talk I promise." Beverly whispered, sitting next to her. Raine had kept calling her phone but she turned it off. "I-is she here?" Her mom asked, Beverly shook her head, looking at the man who just nodded and left the room.

"No she isn't, I won't let her come near you." Beverly said, she sat next to the woman, looking around the room. It had one window and kinda looked like Raine's basement. "P-Promise you won't." The woman said.

"I promise." Beverly whispered, she didn't even know where to begin. "How old are you?" She began. "I'm 43." The woman said, clutching her knees.

"And what's your name?" Beverly asked. "M-Meredith Jones." Meredith replied. Beverly was just getting sadder and sadder. There was so much sadness laced in Meredith's voice, it sounded dry, like she hadn't had water. "And wh-when did Raine start doing this?"

Meredith looked down. "Wh-when she killed M-Mark." She mumbled. "Can you tell me what happened if you feel comfortable?" Beverly asked.

"Sh-she grabbed a gun and killed him. I-I was sleeping when I woke up to gun shots, I tried to talk it out with her and she just lashed out at me for no reason." She mumbled, Beverly was so confused.

"Tell me about your relationship with her." Beverly said. Meredith nodded, sighing and rubbing her knee. "I would always try to defend my child, she was my first born and no matter what she had or what she thought, I would've always loved her. She would get mad at me easily just like her father, I would try and protect her from Mark... since he...he used to hit us. Apart of me wanted to die that night, she was cruel. And I know she was mad at me for calling her all the wrong names when Mark was around."

"I don't know what she's told you but what she says is a lie. I would never hurt my baby on purpose. I wouldn't ever do that to her. I didn't care at all about what she had in her pants. Her father did." Meredith cried out, Beverly couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"I swear I didn't hurt her with words or physical touch. Even after I called her names, I went up to her room, got on my knees and apologized. It was a daily routine and she and I were both used to it. I loved my baby." She cried. "Hey don't worry I believe you." Beverly said, she hesitatingly touched the woman's face who flinched a little.

"Can you tell me what she does to you? Do you know why?" Beverly asked, the woman looked at her. "Sh-she would slap me... choke me and tell me that I failed her. And she would starve me, tell me I was being useless..." she trailed off, Beverly frowned, looking around.

"How about I get you out of here huh? I'll take you to my place." She smiled, Meredith looked up, gasping. "How are you going to get me out?"

"I know a guy who could help." Beverly said, she got up and grabbed the key to unlock her arms and legs. The woman just stayed there. "What's wrong?" Beverly asked.

"I need help." The woman muttered, Beverly nodded and helped her up, her arm around the woman's waist. "H-how many months are you?" She asked.

"Two months now." Beverly said, Meredith nodded, Beverly opened the door, seeing the man standing out for them. "We're gonna put her in the car and I'll give you my address." She said, the man nodded and picked Meredith up, leading her outside.

No one questioned it either because they all felt the same way Beverly did. When they got outside, Meredith was put in the back seat and got buckled up. She wasn't super skinny where you could see bone but she was skinny.

"Why are you helping?" Beverly asked the man. "Because I heard what happened to Marina. And Raine's a fucking hypocrite. Hurting her mom, I still don't allow." The man said, Beverly nodded. "What's your name?"

"Trevor." The man replied. They drove all the way to Beverly's apartment. She got out the car, waiting for Trevor to get her. "Apartment 8." Beverly said, The man nodded, picking the woman up.

Meredith could be living her life right now, happy and healthy but inside for years she's been getting tortured over nothing. They walked in her apartment, seeing everything in place. "Would you like a bath?" Beverly asked.

"Ye-Yes please." Meredith whispered, she felt ashamed she had to have help to walk, to wash, and probably to eat. "Hey don't be embarrassed, I will help you with anything you need and want." Beverly smiled.

"After your bath you'll eat and get rest."
