THE SEEDS
It is said that when every life meets another life, something will be born.
That with every encounter, a single seed is sown
that grows and grows and grows until, eventually,
it has reached it's full form.Whether it be doubt, sorrow, encouragement or pride.
It's purpose might not be clear from the start,
but each of those single seeds will serve you right.I like to think of it as a mosaic.
Every individual part can be interpreted in a million different ways,
but the moment those pieces come together,
an eye-catchingly beautiful picture will arise.
Whether that picture is soul-crushingly dark, or breahtakingly bright
is up to you and the people you let influence you.If every encounter plants a seed,
you must have planted a million.
Seven years, five months, eight hours and twenty-three minutes.
That's how long I have been been able to enjoy your company. You and me against the world.
Whether it was crying while fighting our demons
or laughing until we couldn't breathe because of some dumb joke you made,
it was always more bearable,
more fun
because I had you with me.Yes, every seed serves a purpose.
And all those seeds you sowed,
whether it came from a fight or a fit of laughter,
taught me to be a better person. And when I look back at that terrified, broken, frail girl you met all those years ago. When I think of all those seeds you planted,
I can't help but smile. You picked up my pieces and made me whole again.
Completed the mosaic and revealed a strong, beautiful, brilliant young woman.
You were the long awaited rain that made the desert in my deserted heart prosper.
And I can never thank you enough.
