"Harry, you don't seem like you're having fun! What's up?" I yelled over the loud music as I sat next to him on the couch. So far his party was a success, the music was great and everyone was having a good time, well everyone except Harry..
"I'm good!" He said unconvincingly.
"Bullshit! C'mon, you can tell me"
"Let's go dance" he said, probably trying to get me to shut up, but whatever, I'll take it. Maybe I could get him to have some fun.
He led us over to where the was a group of people crazily dancing to the rumbling music in the house.
"The party is a success!" I yelled into his ear as I threw my hands up and danced like a fool. "Everyone else is having fun so you should too!"
"I can't do this" Harry quickly said before turning around abruptly pushing through the sweaty bodies and slamming the door to his room shut. I ran after him, confused as hell. He was just fine before, and yesterday he was so excited to throw this party!
"Harry! Let me in, come on!" I didn't stop knocking until I finally heard the door unlock. I walked in to see Harry in tears so I quickly shut the door behind me and locked it again.
"Harry, what's wrong?" I walked up to him.
"This isn't okay!" He said angrily.
"What isn't okay? Harry you're scaring me.. What's going on?" I sat next to him on the bed.
"My friend is dead and I'm throwing a party! That's terrible Aubrey!" He gripped his hair tightly with his hands.
I knew he had been holding in all of his emotions this past week, but I didn't know he was hurting this bad. This whole thing finally got to him.
"Harry.. It's okay" I said as I rubbed his back. I had no idea what to do, like what do you say to someone is this kind of situation? "You can't just stop your life, you have to move on, and this is how you're doing that."
"I can't do this!" He stood up and pushed all of the pictures and trophies off of his desk creating a loud noise and making me jump. Thankfully the music from the stereo in the basement was so loud that no one else could hear it.
"Why is this fucking happening to me! I can't take it!" He said angrily. I stood up and walked over to him, grabbing his hands to try and calm him down.
"Storms make trees take stronger roots" I blurted out. It was something my dad always used to say to me when I was little, but I just realized what it really meant.
"What the hell does that mean?" He looked at me.
"This is only going to make you stronger, Harry! I know it's hard, but I also know you're going to get through it, and you'll come out stronger than ever." I felt his breathing start to even out, so I took that as I sign that he was calming down a little.
"It's just hard.. I miss him so much, Aubs.." He sat down on the edge of his bed and pushed his hair back with his hands. I slowly walked over and stood in between his parted legs.
"I know, it's supposed to be hard, but you'll get through it, it just takes some time..." I said as I took his face in my hands. He tilted his head up and looked at me for a minute without saying anything.
Harry's large hands found the bottom of my back and pulled me closer, closing the gap between us. Our faces slowly got closer, neither of us saying a word. Our lips finally met, my eyelids falling as soon as his soft lips pressed against mine.
My hands wrapped around his neck and my body pressed against his while I kissed him again. I ran my hands through his soft hair, slightly moaning as he deepened the kiss, our tongues finally meeting.
He gripped his hands on my waist and slowly laid me down on the bed. He hovered above me, cupping my face with his hands while I smiled at him and kissed away the last tear on his cheek.
My hands roamed around his back, and I tugged on his shirt, trying to pull it over his head. Harry's lips parted from mine as he pulled it off, and then helped me take mine off. He smiled slightly when my almost naked body was revealed.
His lips now found the crook of my neck, my head rolled to the side giving him more access. As he kept working his tongue, his hands tugged at my jeans. Once he detached himself from my neck, I rolled over and straddled him, and eagerly tried to pull down his pants.
"Are you sure?" Harry quietly said into my ear as he broke our kiss. I hesitantly nodded my head, not sure if I should trust what would have come out of my mouth.
