Sweeter

"Aubrey! Aubrey are you awake?!" I heard someone yelling.

"What?" I shot up from my bed and looked around confused. Harry was sleeping next to me, so who was calling my name?

"Aubrey!"

"Oh my god!" I said quietly before I hopped out of bed and ran downstairs. "Hi mom! Hi dad!" I said as I jumped up and hugged them.

"Hey sweetie! We've missed you!" My mom said before suffocating me with her embrace.

"What are you guys doing here? I thought you weren't coming home until Friday?"

"We thought we'd surprise you!" My dad said excitedly.

I was so glad to see them, but I had forgot about Harry sleeping upstairs. He had slept over after the party at Ryan's last night. If they saw him, they would probably kill me. They know we're dating, but you know how parents are, overprotective and scared I'm gonna do something stupid like getting pregnant!

"I'm glad you guys are home! But I really need to shower" I said before I hugged them again and ran upstairs thinking about a way to get Harry out of here.

"Harry" I whispered as I shook him awake. "Babe, you have to wake up!"

"Hey" he smiled as his eyes slowly started to open.

"My parents are here!"

"What?" He quickly sat up in the bed and his eyes shot open. "I thought they weren't coming until Friday?"

"Me too! But they wanted to surprise me.. And they did!" I laughed.

"What should I do? If I leave they'll see me!"

"It's fine, just stay in here and I'll take them out to breakfast or something."

"Alright.. Shit that was close" he said as he stood up and pulled his pants on.

"It's all good! Alright I'm gonna go with them, I'll text you when it's okay to leave!" I walked over and gave him a kiss. "Come over later to meet them?"

"Yeah.. I'll be here"

I got dressed and fixed my bed head before leaving Harry in my room and heading back downstairs.

"I thought you were going to shower hun?" My mom asked as I came back to where they were sitting.

"Oh, I was but I thought we could go get breakfast and catch up?" I said.

"That sounds great! I'm starving"

"So how has everything been, Aubs?" My dad asked after we sat down at the restaurant for breakfast.

"Really good" I genuinely smiled. "How's the team?"

"Good, they all say hi!"

"So when are we going to get to meet this Harry kid?" My mom added in. I've told her everything about him over the phone. My mom and I's relationship is really great. We tell each other amything, and she's like my best friend.

"Tonight, if you want!"

"Yeah, bring that kid around" my dad said with a jokingly stern tone.

"I will! I think you'll love him"

"I mean he's the quarterback of your school's football team, I already love him" my dad joked again.

"Well besides that, he's great" I smiled.

"I'm excited to meet him!" My mom said, this was the first boyfriend of mine she will ever meet and she was elated that I decided to bring him around.
