"Sophie!" a voice squeals from somewhere in the hall way of school where my locker is. "Over here!" then I see who it is, my best friend- not Dean but my 'girl' best friend, Lola- standing next to my locker with her hands waving around in the air to get my attention.
"Hey, what's up?" I say when I reach her and throw my arms around her like she does to me.
"Not much, how was your weekend? You know, the one you spent all your time with Dean?" she asks as I start to put books into my locker before locking it again.
"It was fine, like any normal weekend." I say as we move on to her locker which is down the corridor.
"So by that you mean that the boys ended up being annoyed with each other?" she smirks looking at me. I have to laugh, just be looking at her you can tell she's a goody two shoes. She has light cross dark brown hair and full lips and freckles. She's small in height and has curves. And the one thing that everyone knows about her is that she never swears ad if she does then she's pissed off with something.
"Yes, Liam walked in when we had sorta been fighting and Dean had tackled me to the ground and was on top of me..."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up, he was on top of you?" she practically squeals just as we reach her locker where my brother is standing. He barely even glances at me probably still annoyed from Saturday night.
I throw a glare at him because if he's going to be like how he is then I'll be the same with him.
"Yes, get with it Lo. Anyway, we can't talk about it here, I'll tell you later." I say. She puts her books into the locker before locking it and then we head down the narrow hall to our first class.
We walk into the physics classroom which smells of all things sciencey and is cluttered with science stuff. The counter around the side of the room is covered with papers and text books and the tables on the inside of the tables we sit at which is in a horse shoe shape are covered with the gadgets our teacher finds interesting. The teacher's desk sits in the right hand corner as you go in the door. Mr Kit sits at the desk on a big desk chair with his head up and looks down his nose at the computer screen.
"He never changes." Lola grumbles looking at Mr it and then to me before taking her seat at the front. We came into the class at different times, me being in here from the start and Lola after the summer.
I start to think about sitting next to her but within the second of me thinking about it Dean is grabbing my arm and spinning me around to face him so our faces are mere inches apart.
"Hey." He smirks
"Hi." I almost whisper, my breath caught again- why does this keep happening?
"Oi, Bean, Ezra, stop flirting and get to your seats- not next to each other!" the teacher shouts to us causing me to let out a shaky breath that I didn't know I was holding.
I push Dean away from me a bit harsher than I was planning and give him a small glare so he gives a confused look which makes me give him a quick smirk. Yeah, he might know how to wind me up but I certainly know how to wind him up just as much.
"You're such a tease." He whispers pulling me close.
"NOW!" the teacher snaps so I push him away fully intending the harshness of it this time as I take the seat next to Lola. Dean goes up to his seat while I glare at him. It was his entire fault, I could be sitting up there next to him but now I've to be the girl at the front of class. There's no denying that I'm kinda popular because I am. I speak to most people in the school but there's few that really know me know me, meaning my group is Lola, Dean and Liam and occasionally Tom and there's a few others but that's the only people that really know we properly and to be honest its better.
