Chapter 13

"Branch!" Poppy screamed out in terror, as she ran to the edge of the river, looking into the rough waters for Branch.

He resurfaced, gasping for air, but the current immediately pulled him away.

"Branch!" Poppy screamed again, running after him.

"Help!" he cried out in fear, the water pulling him back under.

Quickly, he resurfaced, coughing, struggling to breath.

"P... Poppy! Help!" he coughed, struggling to keep his head above water.

"I'm coming, Branch!" Poppy yelled out, running as fast as she could, but the water was pulling him faster than she could run.

She looked up ahead, her eyes widening at what she saw.

"Branch!" she yelled, pointing.

He managed to turn himself around, his eyes widening in fear.

A massive water fall was just up ahead.

"Help!" he cried out, desperately trying to swim against the current, but it was just too strong.

The water pulled him under again, but he was able to swim back up, quickly grabbing onto a rock.

He panted heavily, unable to breath, as he coughed up water.

Poppy was getting closer, but she wasn't close enough.

Branch was trying to hang onto the rock, but his hands where starting to slip, the water tugging at his body, trying to force him over the waterfall.

"P... Poppy..." he said, seeing she was too far away.

There where tears in his eyes, as he clung onto the rock, struggling to keep his grip.

Suddenly, his hands slipped off the rock, sending him tumbling over the waterfall.

Poppy's eyes widened in terror.

"Branch! No!"
