The Morning After

When Ponyboy woke up Johnny wasn't there. He knew they had fallen asleep together, but he couldn't remember Johhny leaving. Ponyboy stood up. He walked to his kitchen and Johny was there. His hair was full of cowlicks.
"Good morning, Ponyboy." He said. His voice was raspy with sleep.
"Good morning, Johnny." Ponyboy walked over and wrapped his arms around Johnny's hips. He squished his face into Ponyboy's chest. Ponyboy kissed Johnny's forehead. And his cheek. Then his lips.
"Mmmmm." Johnny murmured
"Yeah." Ponyboy said.
"You need to get going."
"I just wan to hold you for another minute." Ponyboy tightened his arms around Johnny, pulling him closer. They stood there like that for a moment. Johnny pushed away.
"I need to get going." He said.
"I do too."
Johnny went into the bathroom and had the first shower. When he got out, Ponyboy went in. He lathered himself in sweet smelling soap. Ponyboy put on a new t-shirt and dirty jeans. He walks out and sees Johnny standing there.
"I thought we could walk together." He said.
"Good idea." Ponyboy grabbed Johnny's hand and together, they exited the apartment.

When they reached the 24 hour grocery mart, Johnny kissed Ponyboy lightly and walked inside. Ponyboy walked the rest of his way alone.  He used to like walking to work everyday, but now the walk felt empty without Johnny's hand in his. He entered the cafe and put on his apron. Ponyboy made coffees all day. Johnny came in at 8. There was only one customer in the cafe. They were on a laptop. They had drunk 5 cups of coffee while they were there. Johnny crossed the floor and walked to the counter.
"1 black coffee, please." He said
"Of course." Ponyboy replied
He handed over the coffee. Johnny grabbed one of his hands and kissed it.
"How was your day?" He asked
"Uneventful. Yours?"
"Good. I know how to scan groceries."
"Mmmm. Handsome and smart."
"Yep, that's me."
Ponyboy leaned across the counter and kissed him. " Yeah, that is you." He kisses him again.
"Ponyboy, you need to stop. This is your place of work. Kissing me here is unprofessional." Johnny scolding, but he was only pretending to be mad.
"But you're irresistible." Ponyboy kissed him again.
"Stop. Just hold my hand. You are not getting fired because of me."
Johnny grabbed Ponyboy's other hand. They stood there. Holding hands.

The person with the laptop picked up and left 26 minutes till closing time. Johnny and Ponyboy kissed until 9. They walked home and kissed there until morning.

A/N: i hope you loved this chapter. I'm sorry it was so short, but all the chapters were kind of short. Anyways, there is ONE more chapter!!! I haven't started writing it, but I have it all planned out. It should be amazing! Thank you so much for reading and vote/comment if you liked this chapter!
