I walked into the nice house with my father and mother. I held my mother's arm as a couple greeted us with open arms. I walked in admiring the place. Then i saw a girl the same age as me with wavy brown locks flowing with a pale green headband. My favourite colour. She had ocean blue eyes that shined with light. I could feel myself smiling. Why?
She was jumping in the living room, talking to her owl. 'Look! I can fly!' She exclaimed imitating her owl.
I chuckled. She heard and turned around with a innocent smile. 'Hey, I'm Bella Whisps. You must be Draco Malfoy.' She said taking out her hand. I shook it eagerly.
And that's how i met the love of my life...
1st Year Bella's POV
As soon as the sorting hat landed on my head it talked away, thinking about all the houses I could be sorted in. 'Gryffindor will do great for you, Hufflepuff too! I see you have the drive of a Slytherin and the Wits of Ravenclaw. Very Well... Ravenclaw!'
I smiled as I made my way to the Ravenclaw table. I felt kind of down that i wasn't sorted into Slytherin, like Draco. He was the only person I knew so far. I smiled at him from my table. I glanced over at me and stuck up his nose. My smile turned into a frown. What was up with him?
After dinner I saw Draco walking up to his common room. I called after him. He turned around and glared at me. 'What do you want.'
'Draco, what's wrong?'
'Sorry, but I don't associate myself with people who are lower than me.' He told me coldly.
He turned around and walked away. Draco Malfoy never talked to me again until 5th year...
5th Year
'Bell, do you have everything? ' asked John.
'Yes Dad,' I answered, 'please don't worry about it.'
'Bella, your father does have to worry about you, it will be dangerous for you to go to Hogwarts with the Dark Lord returning.'
Dad put his hand on Mum's shoulder, 'Darling, Bell will be safer at Hogwarts because Dumbledore is there. He will protect his students with great care.'
I held my parents' hands as they walked through the wall to platform 9 and 3/4. I grabbed all my belongings off the trolley, including my pet owl, Alaska. 'Bye Mum, bye Dad!' I exclaimed while hugging them one at a time.
'Have a great year darling, really keep up the great work. Get on top of all your assignments!' my mum said.
'I will. '
'And remember Bella, never associate yourself with the Malfoy Boy.' My dad said in a grave tone. 'You know how much they've changed.'
I nodded genuinely at my Dad. 'Yes of course, '
My Dad wasn't wrong. Draco really has changed. He was so nice the holidays before our first year of Hogwarts. But getting put into Slytherin changed him.
I shook that thought out of my head and boarded the train. I immediately went to the 3rd carriage. I slid inside the first compartment and plopped all my belongings there.
'Ayyy, Bell!' exclaimed Peter, as he high-fived me enthusiastically. Peter was that popular, sporty, Quidditch obessed boy who was always happy and all the girls worshiped the ground he walked on.
Benjamin was on the edge of the compartment with his headphones on listening to the latest podcast. I took the headphones off him playfully.
'Bella!' he said in a tranquil tone. 'Give them back!' We both exchanged big hugs 'Ugh, here you go,' I teased, reluctantly gave his headphones back. They both exchanged a cheeky smile. Ben was the guy who was calm and collected, he was just chill.
I looked on the seats opposite to the boys and sat in the middle of my 2 best friends, Cho and Harper. Cho was doing her hair and makeup and Harper with reading one hella thick book.
My best friends were complete opposites. Cho was beautiful, so beautiful, she was popular but so sweet and nice. While Harper was book smart, nerdy but she would always have her friends back. She was very wise and gave the best advice.
'Hey Bell!' they both exclaimed as she took a seat. 'Ugh, I feel like I haven't seen you guys in ages.' I replied longingly.
Peter suggested we should all play a game of exploding snaps and everyone has such a fun time. It reminded us all of our first year at Hogwarts, when we were so young, so excited for a new journey. Now, with the dark lord returning, no-one is really sure what the future holds.
Suddenly, with a thud, the train stops. Peter immediately got up and pulled my wand out of his pocket, us following him. He slid the door open and everyone was outside in the hall way, confused. As soon as everyone from the younger years saw me they all ran up to me recognizing me as a prefect.
'Okay everyone calm down everyone return to your compartments, we will take care of it.' I said, nodding to my friend group.
'Peter and Harper, go to the outside of the train to see if there is anything unusual. Cho and Ben, go to the front part of the train to see if there are any cause to this issue, I will go to the back of the train'
Everyone nodded eagerly and all left to their assigned areas. I headed to the back of the train, while checking up on all the students in each compartment. I approached the last compartment and slid the door open to a bunch of Slytherins in my year. Oh, great, she thought.
Everyone in the compartment turned to look at the Ravenclaw that just entered their territory, and gave me a cold death stare. 'Jeez, no need to be so bitchy.' I laughed. At once, the tall platinum blonde boy stood up and looked at me in the eye coldly. He walked slowly towards me, as I backed away onto a wall. He pinned me against the wall. 'What are you doing here, you filthy little half- blood.'
I lifted my head up to face his, staring into his blunt, grey eyes. 'What did you just call me?'
Draco laughed and everyone in the cabinet joined in. He leaned forward even more and said it in no more than a whisper, 'A filthy little half-blood, you don't deserve to go to Hogwarts, and your father doesn't deserve to work in the Ministry of Magic after he married your pathetic mother..'
' Stupefy!'
Without another second I got out her wand and stunned Draco, he plummeted to the ground. 'The first thing to say to me in five years is about this? You really changed Draco, and don't you dare bring up my parents.' All the other Slytherins were too shocked to move, their mouths open wide. Draco got up, ignoring my comment and fired another spell at me. 'Expelliarmus!' he shouted, successfully disarming me.
Draco laughed proudly. 'See, Whisps? This is what happens when you try to duel a pureblood.'
'I don't need a wand to destroy you Malfoy.' I sneered. Draco fired a red spell at me but I dodged it with ease. I spun around the compartment dodging every spell Draco threw at me. I came closer and closer to Draco and at the perfect time I snatched his wand out of his hand.
Desperate to gain the upper hand again, he threw a punch at me, but I grabbed his fist just before he hit me and twisted it badly. I smirked at him, then released his arm Draco fell down in pain and winced.
'Your right. I am a Half-blood. A half-blood who just beat a Malfoy.' I smirked playfully. I bent down and picked up my wand. 'Hey Whisps,' called Blaise Zabini, 'you deserve to be in Slytherin. You're a badass!'
I turned around and smiled, 'I'm too good for Slytherin.'
Blaise watched Bella in amazement. Never in his life has she seen a woman so strong, so fierce.
