Chapter 9 - A Turn Of Events

Both men walked up to each other. Zabini laughing, Malfoy fueled with anger.

'She doesn't deserve you, you're pathetic. Bella did nothing wrong to you.' he shouted.

'You're right,' Blaise answered smugly, 'she doesn't deserve me, I'm too good for anyone. She is pathetic, she deserves to rot in hell.'

Draco punched Blaise square in the face knocking him down. Blaise got up a few seconds later, his nose was bleeding and he had a black eye.

He kicked Draco in the stomach and he howled in pain.

'Stop!' pleaded Bella who was watching in horror, 'Please.Draco!'

Both ignored her and continued fighting. Draco twisted Blaise's arm so hard he writhed in pain, sobbing on the ground.

As Draco was panting deeply, he grabbed Bella's arm and led her out. 'C'mon Bell, we're going.'

He let her into Filch's cleaning closet on the 6th floor and locked it. 'We'll stay in here for a bit, after Blaise leaves the room of requirement.'

'Draco,' Bella whispered, 'why did you do that.' 

She caressed Draco's cheek which was bleeding. You're going to get in huge trouble and,'

Draco put his hand against her cheek and kissed her passionately. Bella was shocked but it just felt right so her eyes fluttered closed. Her mind suddenly came back into reality.

'Stop! I...I'm sorry, I can't' she said and she ran out of the room.

'Would Draco Malfoy please come to Professor Umbridge's office now!' the voice said from the speaker

Shit, Draco thought. He opened the door of Filch's closet and headed to the 4th floor.

'Draco, it appears you have been hitting your fellow peers, this is true isn't it.'

'Yes' Draco mumbled.

'I have a deal for you Mr Malfoy,' Dolores said slyly. 'If you help me catch Mr Potter and his friends then you won't get expelled.'

'No, i don't want to catch them doing whatever they are doing.'

'It's my deal or you get expelled!' she shouted, slamming her fist on her table.

'Okay, fine,' Draco said hesitantly. 'What do i have to do?'

'You and your fellow Slytherins are going to help me catch their little club called Dumbledore's Army. They are secretly learning Defense against the Dark Arts without my permission. They would get in serious trouble and that is exactly what I want.'

Draco gulped. He didn't want to be the bad guy. He never did. It was all just peer pressuring, forcing and social anxiety. He never chose to be a death eater. He never chose to be a bully. Draco didn't want any of this to begin with.

Bella ran all the way to Ravenclaw's common room, in the tallest tower in Hogwarts and answered the riddle easily. She burst in and her whole friend group was in the common room playing exploding snaps. They all turned to her, surprised.

'Bella!' Peter called, come play with us.'

Tears filled Bella's eyes as she remembered the traumatic day she had. She ran upstairs into her room, plopped on her bed and cried it out.

Moments later both Cho and Harper came into the room and sat besides her.

'Need a tissue?' asked Cho handing her a full box.

'And a bear to hug?' Harper said handing her a stuffed bear.

'Thanks,' sniffled Bella.

'Bell, what's wrong.' Asked Cho.

'We're here for you, always.' Harper smiled

Bella sighed and told the everything, from Blaise breaking up with her, to the dare, to the fight between him and Draco, to Draco kissing her.

'Woah,' Cho said in shock, 'Seems like you've had a rough day.'

'Okay, first of all, I'm going to kill Blaise with my own hands. Second, in my opinion I think Draco is actually a great guy, you just need to spend more time with him a bit more to fully trust him, then you can open up. Third, enough with Drama for today, let's either have a girls night or a night with the group.'

Bella and Cho laughed hysterically at Harper's comment.

'I think we leave the boys out too much, let's go downstairs and play exploding snaps and other games.' Cho suggested.

The 3 went downstairs joining Ben and Peter. 'Bells, you good?' Asked Peter.

'Yeah, I'm fine, sorry i ran out like that.

'Hey, no sweat, c'mon let's play Wizards Chess.' encouraged Ben.

The 5 laughed and had un the entire night.

Even when i feel like the world is going to end, I know i will always have them. She thought happily.
