PRESENT:

After he met with Anthony, Jason felt somewhat calmer. But, of course, he didn't let it get to his head. Not unless he actually got the videos, at least.

Two days after their meeting, Jason received a package at his office. Jason opened it in the presence of Martina, his boss, and Larry. There were two things inside a tiny box – a pen drive and a note.

Since no one can track the email and the call between us, this is our first contact. As far as I know, you didn't obtain the evidence illegally. Someone just mailed it to you. So, I am pretty sure it will be admissible. But, I am no expert. I'll leave that part to you.

For safety purposes, I am not disclosing the name of the source as of now. They will show up at your doorstep before the session. But, just to be safe, do look for another way to make the recordings admissible.

Well-wisher

Jason plugged the drive into his computer and started watching the recordings.

"Oh, man! This is gold," said Martina.

"Yeah. We'll fuck them so hard with this, they will think twice before messing with us," said Larry.

"Hold your horses," said Jason. "But, you are right. This is gold. How should I file these, boss?" Jason asked.

"For the time being, say that we received the files anonymously via mail. Also, mention that the sender doesn't wanna disclose themselves due to security reasons. They will do so before the hearing," said Martina.

"Got it."

Later that day, after Jason submitted the evidence to the court, he headed Downtown to meet another client. It was a woman who was wronged by yet another corporate. The meeting with the women went great. It took Jason's mind off the whole Medicos thing.

After the meeting, Jason hailed a cab to get back to his clinic. Before he could leave Downtown, some guy waved and asked the driver to stop.

"Sir, that's my cousin. He lives near where you're headed. Do you mind if he joins? He will, of course, split the fare with you," the driver asked.

"Sure, why not," Jason said.

The driver pulled over to the side, and the cousin got in. Jason greeted the man, and then everything went black.

It was bright and early in the morning. Ray had just had a coffee and was about to start his work for the day when Leonard barged into his office.

"Ray! Jason..."

"Jason, what?" Ray asked.

"He's missing," said Leonard.

"WHAT!?"

"Espinoza's office, right now."

Ray could not have barged into the managing partner's office any faster. "What happened to Jason," he demanded. He instantly realized that he was out of order. "I'm sorry. I mean, what's wrong?"

"He left his clinic yesterday to meet a client and hasn't been seen since. He is nowhere to be found, and his phone is dead too. His clinic is insinuating that something has happened to him, or rather someone," said Espinoza, the managing partner of the firm.

"And I think that they might be right," said Ray.

"How can you be so sure?" asked Espinoza.
