Chapter 9: For a Show I

Jeongyeon blinked twice after Ryujin held out her hand for a shake but before she could reach back, the girl already took it away from her sight.

Jeongyeon: I'm sorry, I was just trying to process what you said. Uhm... *clicks tongue* so... are you going to order or not?

Ryujin: *laughs sheepishly* Sorry... no. I came here to see you.

Jeongyeon: Me? W—why?

Ryujin: Can we sit?

Jeongyeon: Sure.

Half-sister, quite contrary to what everyone knew. The girl sitting in front of her was related to Jimin by blood. Jeongyeon gulped as she'd tried to absorb that fact. Is it true that she hates him? If it is, why? Did something happen? Was it something deep? These thoughts ran on in her head while she stared at Ryujin. There was no way of knowing unless she would ask.

But before going into that, she had to know first why Jimin's sister came to visit her.

Jeongyeon: So... how can I help you?

Jeongyeon had almost forgotten that Sejeong was in the kitchen until she heard her.

Sejeong: Omo. Ryujin?

Ryujin: *looks up at Sejeong* Uhm, hi?

Sejeong: Never mind, you were not aware of my existence till now. What are you doing here?

Ryujin: Ah, would you mind if I keep Jeongyeon-unnie for a while?

Sejeong: No no... it's fine. Jeongie, don't mind the diner for now.

Ryujin: Thanks... *smiles shyly*

Sejeong: I'll go back to the kitchen. Jeongyeon, if ever... I'll go ahead without you later. Take a cab from here. Text me or Jihyo, arasseo?

Jeongyeon: Arasseo.

Sejeong: Excuse me *bows and went back in the kitchen*.

Ryujin: Unnie. *to Jeongyeon* Is it okay if I call you unnie?

Jeongyeon: Ne, it's fine. It's kind of awkward but... it's fine. 🤭🤭 Sorry... I wasn't supposed to say that loudly. Ahh, why am I blabbering? *giggles nervously*

Ryujin: Arasseo. So... why do you post stuff about Jimin?

Jeongyeon: Huh? Did he send you here?

Ryujin: Ani. I am just curious.

Jeongyeon: *blinks twice* I don't need to answer that.

Ryujin: I just need to know because I am really curious and I wonder if he did something to you. In that case, there'd be more reason for me to hate him.

Jeongyeon: Oh. Is that so? Hmm, he didn't do anything to me. Sorry to disappoint you.

Ryujin: Then why do you do that?

Jeongyeon: You sound like him. *giggles*

Ryujin: Please don't say that, unnie. If you wanna be friends with me.

Jeongyeon: *raises her eyebrows* Oh? But you really do. When you entered the diner, I instantly thought of him... somehow.

Ryujin: What?? No way!

Jeongyeon: You're his girl version. *crosses her arms and smirks*

As silly as it was, Jeongyeon was honestly enjoying how Ryujin reacted to her remarks. It just felt like she was getting Jimin annoyed and it was overall satisfying.
