Chapter 26: Nayeon and Hoseok Time

Taehyung was enjoying a pint of ice cream in the kitchen when his mom sat down with him.

Ji Hyun: How was the night?

Taehyung: Cool.

Ji Hyun: How was Mina? Did she get nervous?

Taehyung: *smiled* She did. I got nervous too, you know. But, it was worth it.

Ji Hyun: I'm glad that everything went well. Or did it?

Taehyung, knowing what his mom meant, sighed and then smiled.

Taehyung: Jeongyeon will be okay. I am sure about it.

Ji Hyun: Yeah. It's nothing compared to when your aunties fought over a man.

Taehyung: Huh? Who's aunties?

Ji Hyun: Yea Ji and Ji Hye.

Taehyung: They did??

Ji Hyun: *scoffs* They were crazy.

Jimin joined Jihyo's group at the cafeteria during lunchtime as Jeongyeon requested. "There will be more space for sure," according to her, and she was right since Taehyung and Mina chose to sit somewhere else. In fact, they couldn't almost see them. Thankfully for Jeongyeon, nobody mentioned what happened during Dayeon's party—it would not just be awkward for her but for Jimin too.

Before the afternoon classes started, Jeongyeon freshened up in the bathroom first. She was taken aback when Mina went out of one of the cubicles. Mina, on the other hand, looked like she wanted to say something. So when Jeongyeon finished brushing her teeth, she asked her.

Jeongyeon: What is it? What do you want to tell me? *Faced Mina and crossed her arms*

Mina: I'm so sorry, I wanted to tell you but I was afraid our friendship would end.

Jeongyeon: Because you knew all along?

Mina: *nods and about to cry*

Jeongyeon: Don't cry in front of me.

Mina: O-okay, unnie. I- I just wanted to tell you that...

Jeongyeon: Tell me what?

Mina: That...

Jeongyeon: Mina, what is it??

Mina: That he—he really likes you too. He truly does!

Jeongyeon: *sighs with a hint of irritation* Of course, we have been friends for a long time. Of course, he likes me.

Mina: I mean—

Jeongyeon: Come on, Mina. Stop. You're bad at this. You're not consoling me at all if you think you do. *sighs*

Mina: Unnie—

Jeongyeon: If it's going to make you feel better, Taehyung and I already talked during the party. We danced. Remember? *sighs* I am already letting him go. But I can't be friends with you two again... for now. If you want to, you can wait.

Jeongyeon stared at her friend for a bit more second. Mina was trembling and although she wanted to calm her, she stopped herself. Not today, Mina. You pissed me off.
