"THANK YOU!" Jane said towards the taxi driver as she shut the door, waving him off before turning around. The cold wind blew across her face, causing the tip of her nose and her cheeks to flush. She shivered as she pulled her jacket tighter around her, hurrying up the stairs to her flat as fast as she could. Once she made it to her front door, she took out her keys and unlocked it.
Jane was greeted with the warm temperature inside her cozy little home, making her feel better instantly. As she shut the door, she heard a meow and the sound of jingle bells from a collar darting over to her. "Hey Gus-Gus," she cooed, scooping the tabby cat up into her arms. Gustavo purred as he rubbed his head against her chin, enjoying the love and affection he was receiving after such a long day without his human.
She chuckled as she continued to pet him. "Are you hungry? Do you want some food?" Hearing this, Gustavo bolted out of her arms and over to his kitty bowl, doing circles around it as he meowed. "I'll take that as a yes." Sighing softly, she began to put the rest of her things on the kitchen table, as well as taking her jacket off. The cat suddenly meowed louder. "Alright, alright. I'm coming. Don't get your knickers in a twist."
