Warriors: The Hunt Begins

I crush his head with a final, but short yelp from him, then stand up. I jump up onto the rocks surrounding the place and howl loud into air. Everyone stops fighting and looks at me.

"Your Kings are dead. Do you want to join them?"

None of the guards speak and I jump down next to Kent. He buries his face into the fur on my neck and I lick him.

"Bow down to your new King and Queen, or die like they did. Make your choice!"

Kent and I snarl together and slowly, one by one, the guards bow to us. To my surprise and Kent's, it doesn't stop there. Everyone else starts to bow as well and they howl together in our honor.

Kent shifts back and holds his hand out for mine, and I shift back and take it. We raise our hands up, and they all jump up on their hind legs and howl. We smile as Kent pulls me to him and kisses me passionately.

"You did it, Red. You killed, Zenith. You saved the world."

"We saved the world, Kent. I didn't and couldn't have done this alone."

I kiss him again and he holds me tight. The guards stand up and one of them walks up to us. Kent growls and the guard shifts back.

"My King, we mean no harm. We just want our orders."

"Clean up the mess."

"Yes, sir."

He shifts again and starts dragging a dead guard away, and the other guards begin help him.

"Fuck. That felt fucking good."

I laugh and he smiles, then turns concerned as he looks at my cuts and bites.

"You're hurt."

"So are you."

"I'll heal."

"Me too."

Shadow and Zoom run over, and tackle us to the ground to lick our faces.

"We did it! Mom, we did it!"

"You were fucking fantastic out here today, Shadow! You did so good! I am so fucking proud of you!"

I jump on his back and scratch his head, and he jumps up and down. Zoom shifts back and I get down to hug him.

"Great job today, Zoom. Your father would be so proud of you."

"Thank you. It means just as much to me that you are."

I kiss his cheek and he smiles.

"You alright?"

"I'm fine. How are you boys?"

"A few cuts, but nothing major."

"We didn't lose anyone. Did we?"

"No. It came close with Kent."

"But you boys saved my ass. Thank you."

Kent hugs Zoom and Shadow, and I smile. He pulls me back to his chest when he's done and we start walking inside.

"Where are we going."

"Follow me."

We walk into the court room and we walk up onto the platform where the thrones sit. We stare at them for a moment. then stand in front of them and Kent gestures to one of the thrones.

"Take your throne, my Queen."

I smile and sit, and he sits in the one next to me and takes my hand.

"I can't believe we did it."
