Hey guys! (take a shot every time this note says 'this book')
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you so much for all the love and support all the readers, voters & commenters have given me till now, I am immensely grateful for it. I was honestly shocked to see such heartfelt compliments and fascinating views that you guys put in the comment section; truly a delight for a young poet.
Now, although I am filled with gratitude for all the love and support, I will be putting this book on hold for a long time now. I have made the decision to continue working on this book offline. Writing spoken words isn't the easiest for me, considering that I do want to make them meaningful and impactful, not just something I have to do for the sake of completing this book. I also am currently in 9th grade (CBSE curriculum) which is an important and extremely stressful year for Indian students filled with exams and useless projects (i have so much holiday homework & pending assignments,, my summer is not going great 😩) so schoolwork leaves me with almost no time for writing. Unfortunately, my studies are the leading cause of my decision to put this book on hold. I am going to have to be dedicating much of my time to my studies if I want to remain consistent with my a's, especially after school reopens and I attend onsite classes. This makes me awfully sad but I just have to get by this year and I'm positive that the next year will be far more easier for me (because i'll be used to the pressure by then lmfao).
Like mentioned previously, I'll be working on this book offline as much as I can. I will be modifying the format of this book (you'll see what i mean once it's updated) and hopefully, I am able to complete 'sincerely, gen z' by the end of 2021 or mid-2022. I also wish to publish this book one day; holding a paperback of 'sincerely, gen z', sharing it with the world (apart from wattpad) and being a published poet is an itching ambition mine. If all goes well, then I may be able to publish my book within the next couple of years.
I honestly can't describe my heartache at the decision, I just feel so awful, so terrible; it seriously wounds me so much to put this book on hold because I genuinely wanted to work on this book in the summer but I can't catch up with school if I do so and it makes me want to bang my head against the wall but if I do that I'll probably get brain damage and can't study, what a devastating situation.
Anyway, I hope anyone who liked this book till now can understand my situation and to those who will continue to support me, thank you!
On a brighter note, just because I'm putting this book on hold does not mean I will be inactive on here. I will probably publish other, more informal poetry books because I have many poems I would love to share on here. So watch out for that if you want to.
Thank you once again and I hope all of you are happy and healthy!
