Trot
I wake up and look out my window to see that the sun is barely peaking above the hill, I quickly get up and put on my gear and bags. I swing my bow over my shoulder and count the arrows I have, 17. I pick up the scabbard and pull out my netherite sword, running a finger on the blade causing it to bleed. I put it back into the scabbard and tie it around my waist, pulling on a traveler's coat I hide it.
I grab all my bags and see Wilbur exiting his room also ready to go. We walk down stairs and grab a apple each before going to the stables to get the horses. I get my own personal horse out of my stable and meet Jonas and Lilac ready to go. The village had also woken up early and had a wagon of food ready for the other villages.
"Godspeed travelers! Godspeed!"
I pulled out my compass and we started trotting west, the weather has gotten colder some leaves already turning red, orange and yellow. The wind was cool and the sun was warm, only the beginning of September and already the trees were changing colour. As the sun rose our backs became hotter and hotter, not minding that we continued. As the sun hit noon we saw a small village. We galloped to the village and were met with their elder mayor.
"Y/N! What are you doing? It's not safe to travel! The tyrants can show up any minute!"
A coughing sound briefly rendered in my ears as a young enderman dressed in a semi formal suit appeared beside the elder. He held the elder's hand with a concerned look.
"You shouldn't be here..."
The enderman looked up it's piercing purple eyes made my spine shiver. The young enderman disappeared with purple wisps appearing in it's place briefly before reappearing again in front of us.
"We just wanted to check up on you, we have plenty of food for the village."
His stern look softened as he helped us carry some food into the village. We saddled up and got ready to continue.
"Wait!"
The enderman called, as I turn I see him carrying a map. He hands me the map and I unravel it, the map of most west villages were writen.
"Thank you."
"The next town is pretty far, but if you hurry you'll make it by sun down."
We nodded at each other and started riding west. We rode for a few more hours, the forests were now thicker and bigger. The sun was now seen in front of us glaring at us, our eyes begging to look away.
"We won't make it to the next village, we should set up camp."
I trot to a clearing as they join me, we unpack our tents and pull them up. I look around for firewood as Jonas and Lilac study the map and Wilbur sets up the fireplace. I dump some wood beside Wilbur and he builds the fireplace. I pull out my flint and steel and the sparks ignite the dry wood in seconds. We cook some of the meat we've brought with us, eating small portions and feeding the horses.
"We should sleep early, so we can wake up by dawn and hurry on."
Jonas suggested, we nodded in agreement. We sat by the fire for a bit longer before going into the tents, Wilbur put out the fire and crawls into pur tent. Jonas and Lilac were in separate tents than me and Wilbur. Wilbur layed down on his sleeping bag as I only rolled out mine.
"It must be easy to fall asleep in a sleeping bag because you're a traveler."
"Oh yeah the bed is a luxury, I had to sleep on the grass under me. I didn't even have a sleeping bag but while sleeping on the grass I found a name tag."
I lay down on my sleeping bag feeling exhausted from riding all day. I start to drift off to sleep right away and hear a soft 'goodnight' from Wilbur.
