((Jace's Point of View))

I heard her crying though the door. It took every ounce of strength I had to not run in there and hold her tightly, kissing away her tears.

I knocked on her door.

"GO AWAY!" she yelled.

I opened it anyways and walked in, closing it softly behind me. "Are you all right?"

She looks up at me. "Do I look all right?"

I sit down on the floor next to her. "No you don't. Want to talk about it?"

"Hell no." she snaps.

I put an arm around her. "What happened?"

"I said I didn't want to talk about it, in case you don't understand hell no." she said, scooting away from me. "Besides, shouldn't you be with your mate or something?"

I sigh. "I am with her."

Her eyes widen at me. "What?!?!"

"You, Morgan, are my mate." I said slowly.

"No freaking possible way!" she yelled.

I looked away. If she didn't accept me then I was in a hell load of a lot of trouble. I would be alone forever.

((Morgan's Point of View))

There is no way that i could be his mate! No no no no no no way at all. His mate has to be werewolf, right?

"Morgan?" Jace asks, breaking me out of my thoughts. "I'm not lying to you. You are my mate. Either you accept it or I spend forever alone."

"Um." I said.

I quickly run out of the room and out of the house completely. I jump into my car and start the engine. It doesn't work. Damn it. I saw a motorcyle across the yard. I made a break for it.

I don't know why but I just had to get away from here. From him. From all these werewolves.

It was all too familiar.

There was no way in hell I could be his mate.

"Darling, come closer." he snarled at me.

I cowered away in fear.

"Come here now!" he yells.

"No, I hate you like this!" I screamed.

He smirked. "Well you'll love me when I make you scream."

Instantly I know what he was going to do. What he did every night. What he's done to me for a year now. Something I never wanted to happen. Something I never thought he would even be capable of until after our second date.

He came closer.......and closer..............

I quickly pulled myself out of that memory. I didn't want to be reminded of it right now. It was all just too horrible.

Arms wrapped around me as i tried to climb onto the motorcycle.

I screamed and tried to free myself from whoever's grasp.

"Morgan, calm down." Jackson said.

I turn around and cried into his shoulder.

"What's wrong?" he asks, overprotectively.

"I just want to go home." I whisper to him. "The way things were. I want my old life back. No more fear."

He kissed my forehead. "I wish that too, but I don't think that's what we'll get.'" he sighed.

"Neither do I." I replied quietly.
