Alpha's Mate

Chapter 10

Triton walks into the office with Yushi in tow. He doesn't look happy. In fact, he looks absolutely pissed off.

"Something wrong, Triton?" Jace asks him.

"Yes, Cameron has informed me that you two are sleeping together." he announces.

Both Jace and I exchange shocked looks. Only his look has a mixture of that and amusement in it. Suggestive amusement at that.

"Well, sir, in a word, yes. We are sleeping together. But not like intimately. We just recently became a couple and we haven't even kissed yet." I explained to him.

"Still it isn't right for you two to be practically living together. So we have a proposition to make." Yushi says. "How about Morgan comes and lives with us until you two have decided on getting married?"

"What?" Jace and I asked in shock.

"We thought it might be for the best. It isn't right for a girl to be sharing a room with a male  werewolf older then she is." Triton said, having calmed down.

"And to not accpet this proposition?" Jace wonders out loud.

"Then you will have a war between my clan including my allies, and your clan." he threatens.

Jace sighs. "Can Morgan and I talk about this for a minute?"

They both nod and leave the room.

"What do you think of this idea?" my mate asks me.

"I don't like it."

He sighs. "Neither do I."

"We can't have a war right now." I said. "Not when Cameron is here ready to creep up at any second."

"Which I will prevent." Jace says. "Anyways I see your point. A war might cause me to have to leave you and he could step in." He runs a hand through his hair nervously. "So now I guess that leaves us with one choice. Getting married."

"To make sure I didn't leave it would have to be soon. Unless you want me to leave that is." I said.

He holds my hand tightly. "I don't want you to ever leave."

I smile softly at him.

He reaches into his desk and pulls out a tiny velvet box. "I've been saving this for when i found my mate. Now i have been ready to give it to her. Will you marry me?"

"Yes." I said, 'cause I couldn't bare to leave him.

He smiles at me. "So that solves that issue. Sorry to have it so rushed. i was going to have it saved for later on but then this came up."

"It's okay." I said. I hugged him tightly. "I don't mind."

He starts chuckling.

"What's so funny?" I ask him.

"We are engaged." he says in between laughing fits. "And we haven't even kissed each other yet."

I start laughing along too. The only thing that we have even come close to is him to kiss me on the cheek. But now, as i suddenly realize, we were extremely close.

HIs face started to lean into mine, eyes half closed. i closed mine all the way and our lips touched.
