Once Jace was done talking to my brother he came to me. He pulls me into his arms and buries his face into my neck.
I close my eyes tightly. "What did Jackson want to talk to you about?" I ask.
"Nothing, Morgan, don't worry about it." he said.
"He told you about our parents didn't he?" I ask in a small voice.
With a heavy sigh, he nods."Please don't give me your sympathy." I said. "I honestly don't want it."
"All right." he said.
"You can do me a favor though." I said.
"Anything."
"Keep Cameron as far away from me as you can." I said. I look down at the ground.
He lifts my chin up with two fingers gently. "I wouldn't even dream of him getting near you.""Can I stay in your room tonight?" I ask him, sounding so weak and pathetic but I could honestly care less. I didn't want there to be a chance that Cameron snuck into my room tonight.
"Of course." Jace said with a smile.
I poked him in the side. "Your a little too happy about that."He smirks. "Of course I am. You by my side in my bed. What could be better?"
"I don't know what your thinking. I am thinking that we are going to be sleeping and not fooling around." I told him sternly.
"Listen, Morgan. I told you I wouldn't push you. And I'm not. You accept me as your mate, which I am extremely happy about. Now I am just waiting for you to make the next move. I am not going to go farther then you want me to. One day, when you are ready, we will mate. But not until you are ready." he said.
I burst into tears, throwing my arms around his neck. "You are too damn perfect."
"I am anything but." he said.
"Maybe, but you do know the right things to say." I said.
He hugs me tightly. "Come on, let's get you to bed."
He picks me up bridal style and carries me into his room. Soon I am gently put down on the bed.
I look down at my jeans and t-shirt. "I need some pajamas."
He goes over to one of his drawers and pulls out something. He tosses me an oversized t-shirt and a pair of boxers. "Wear these."
I sigh and go to the bathroom to change. When I go out I see that Jace is already in his usual bedtime attire: shirtless with boxers on. He is laying on the bed reading a copy of To Kill A Mocking Bird. I quietly climb into bed next to him.
He closes his book and puts his arms around me. "I like this."
"So do I." I said.
"You know, you might have to wear my clothes more often." he said.
"And why is that?" I ask him.
"Because I am enjoying the sight of you in them way too much." he tells me.
"I can tell." I said, rolling my eyes. "I'm going to sleep."
He kisses my forehead. "Sweet dreams, my Morgan."
"Sweet dreams, Jace." I said.
Soon I was fast asleep in his arms.
((Jace's Point of View))
She probably didn't realize it but in her sleep she said my name a lot. Which I thoroughly enjoyed. She had an angelic look to her when she was asleep.
Jackson walks in through the door. He see's her curled up against my bare chest. The covers cover her t-shirt except for one shoulder so it looks like she has nothing on since the t-shirt is falling off her shoulder that is showing.
"Jackson, it's not what it looks like." I tell him quietly.
"Really? Then what is it?" he asks, arms crossed. "You screwed my little sister."
"I didn't." I tell him. I move back the covers so that he can see that she is fully clothed. "She's in here sleeping to prevent Cameron from coming into her room at night, raping her."
"Oh," he said, running a hand nervously through his hair. "Sorry."
"It's okay. If it was my little sister and I was you I would have done the same exact thing." I said. "Only I probably would have punched the bastard first."
He laughs. "I would have but Morgan would have punched me."
