1. Butterflies

Minji's POV

"Yah!" I felt a smack on my back and I got up while groaning because of the pain.

"What's that for?" I asked with my morning voice while my eyes were closed.

"You slept throughout 4 periods. It's already lunch!" Haneul exclaimed.

"What? Well, I'm still adjusting to my new schedule so I can't do much about this." I answered, placing my chin on my palm.

"Yah, you've been in your new company for 2 months already. You probably already adjusted, don't lie to me." She nagged but I didn't say anything as I started to doze off again.

She sighed, grabbed my arm, and pulled me up.

"Yah, I want to sleep." I complained.

"And I'm hungry. Let's go." She said and she dragged me out of the classroom.

After we got ourselves some food, we sat at a table already taken by three guys who'd already started eating.

"Yah, you didn't wait for us." Haneul said as she smacked the table with her hand, effectively startling me a bit.

"You guys took too long to get here, so we started without you." Sanha fought back.

"Still!" She protested loudly, "You should've waited for the girls. You guys are simply no gentlemen." Haneul said and drank her milk.

"Why are you late anyway?" Bomin asked while chewing.

"Ask the sleeping beauty." Haneul answered as she ate her food too.

"Yah, are you okay?" Jihoon asked but I didn't realize that he was talking to me, so I reacted late.

"Oh, yeah. Just... tired." I answered and, as if on cue, I yawned.

"Finish your food so you can sleep." Jihoon advised and I simply nodded in response.

"So, you're going to respond properly to Jihoon but not to me?" Haneul complained then she continued eating her food.

I finished eating first, so I excused myself in order to get a few minutes of sleep in our classroom. I entered our room and slowly walked to my chair. I dropped my head on the table and was about to fall asleep when I felt something cold on my wrist. I was startled and looked at my hand.

"Why are you always so sleepy nowadays?" Jihoon asked as he sat on Haneul's chair.

I got up and opened the ice cream he bought for me.

"I'm binge-watching some dramas these days," I answered and started eating my ice cream. "Don't tell Haneul because I told her I'm still not used to the company's system." I interrupted Jihoon before he spoke.

"Yah, you're unbelievable." He exclaimed, exasperation evident in his voice, "You should've rest as much as you can. You're acting like you're not a trainee." He continued to nag.

"What can I do?" I shrugged, "I'm still at the age where my heart desires some of those butterflies." I admitted while eating my ice cream.

"Butterflies? Yah, if you want butterflies, you can catch some in your garden."

I stopped eating and looked at him in disbelief.

"Jihoon."

"What?"

"I realized something." I said as I finished my ice cream.

"What is it?"

"You know nothing about romance." I answered as I stood up, voice flat.
