13. Expose

Minji's POV

Weeks have passed since the first date with Soobin. He haven't invited me yet again because the monthly evaluation is near, every trainee is busy. It was already 10 PM and we were still in the company, training. After finishing some rounds of dancing, we decided to take a break.

"Anyone wants to buy some food?" Yoona asked.

The majority of us answered yes since we were so hungry. We can't eat normally because the staff here are strict when it comes to diet, especially when the monthly evaluation is near.

"Minji, can you come with me?" Yoona asked after she collected the money from us. I nodded and got myself a black mask before we went out of the studio.

We were talking about our individual practice when Hyunsuk and Jihoon walked along with us.

"Why are you here?" Yoona asked Hyunsuk who's beside her.

"Going to buy some food." Hyunsuk answered with a smile. "You?"

"Oh same." Yoona answered.

I noticed Jihoon is not speaking.

"Jihoon!" I half-shouted because he was in the opposite side of me.

He looked at me and slightly smiled. Odd.

"Hyung, it's almost time. We need to hurry up." Jihoon said to Hyunsuk and he nodded.

"We'll run first, okay?" Hyunsuk said and they started running.

Is something wrong with Jihoon? He's oddly quiet.

We arrived at the convenience store and found the two boys there, still looking for the things they needed. Yoona and I decided to separate and get the things we need to buy. I stumble upon on Jihoon as I looked for the foods that were on the list.

"Jihoon." I called him and he just hummed in response.

I walked closer to him as I fidget the products in front of us.

"Are you... okay?" I hesitantly asked him.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He plainly answered and it sounded forceful.

He then started to walk away.

"Then why are you acting like this?" I asked as I catch up with him.

"Acting like what?" He slightly raised his voice as he turned to me.

"A-Acting so cold and dull. Did I do something wrong?" I asked, intimidated.

He was about to say something but he didn't continue it. He looks mad.

"What happening?" Hyunsuk appeared with some food in his arms.

Jihoon and I acted like nothing happened.

"Nothing Hyung. We were just talking about school." He lied. "Are you done? Come on, we're gonna be late." Jihoon asked and walked away.

Yoona walked beside me while holding some food.

"Did something happened between you and Park Jihoon?" She asked.

"No, we were just talking about how stress we are in school. Let's go." I lied.

Maybe I did something wrong that I didn't know. Whatever it is, I need to be good with Jihoon.

The monthly evaluation ended and our team succeeded this time. All of us got complimented and there's a possibility that some of us will move up to team A. All of us are happy.
