23. Right moment

Minji's POV

"Happy 19th birthday, Jihoon. I know you will not see this again but just in case you accidentally press the wrong chat, I want you to know that I didn't forget your birthday. Wherever you are, I hope you're happy and healthy."

I typed that I miss him but I hesitated because I know he will not see this. But before I decide whether to send it or not, the bus arrived. I turned off my phone and get on the bus. I put on my AirPods and played some sentimental songs.

It's been more than a year since Jihoon left and I already moved on from what happened. Whenever I remember what happened to us, I don't cry anymore but I still feel sad everytime I realize that he's not here then start missing him more.

Many things happened last year. Lou or I should say Yoo Jimin and I are in team A now and our debut is being plan out, then Lou and Yedam became a couple months ago. Unfortunately, there are some sad events too. Soobin left with his team to L.A to receive special training, Raesung quit being a trainee and became a producer in YG instead, and Woong left because after their debut being cancelled and all the bad events that have happened in their team, he got depressed and thought that YG isn't for him.

While me, I'm still the same other than perming and dyeing my hair brown. I still go to school and making clothes, actually, I compete in another fashion competition and I'm just waiting for the results because the prize is a scholarship for fashion. Although I don't have any plan to pursue fashion, winning even just one competition is a personal achievement for me. Soobin will be happy if I did win.

I arrived at our classroom and Haneul is already busy finishing her homework. She greeted me good morning and I did the same.

"You look energetic today." I said to Haneul while I'm fixing my stuff.

"Yep! Because I have good news." She replied while grinning then she looked at me.

"What is it?" I stopped what I'm doing and brought my whole focus to her.

"It's a secret though, you really want to know?" She asked teasingly.

"Now I'm more curious, what is it? Tell me hurry." I said while stomping my feet.

Haneul whispered to me that her debut has been set. We looked at each other and we started screaming while clapping our hands.

"Omo! I'm so happy for you! When is that?" I asked enthusiastically.

"Now, that's the part I can't tell you. Sorry." She apologized.

"It's okay." I said. I held her hand as gently caressing it. "I'm really happy for you." And we smiled at each other.

Lunch came, Haneul and I are on our way to the cafeteria talking about her debut. We got ourselves some food and went to an empty table, still talking about her debut. Later on, Bomin and Sanha came.

"What are you guys talking about?" Sanha asked as he sat across Haneul.

"I thought you guys can't come today because you're both busy for your comeback." Haneul said, changing the topic.

"Yeah but we miss you so.. we're here!" Sanha said jokingly.

Bomin and Sanha still planning to finish high school despite their busy schedule. These two became more famous ever since they debuted. We can't go out with them anymore because their managers are already outside waiting for them every after school, and if we manage to escape, the fans will notice them then they'll take pictures while following us.
