24. Unanswered

Minji's POV

"You must be so happy now that he's back." Han Jisung said from the other line.

"Of course! You know how much... I miss him." I said, slowly sounding conscious about the topic.

I'm currently slowly walking in the corridor of the school at 8 in the morning. Jisung has an early schedule that's why we took this opportunity to catch up before he get busy.

"Oh, what's with the tone?"

"I think it's not good to-"

"To talk about Jihoon with me because I asked you out before?" He interrupted me.

I didn't say anything.

"Minji, I told you. I'm over it, it doesn't affect me at all. I promise." He assured.

"Are you sure?"

"Yah, am I not your best friend or not? We've known each other for 3 years already. You should know when I'm telling the truth or not." He nagged.

"But you always lie. How can I tell?" I joked.

"You just ruined the atmosphere"

"My bad. Anyway, I just don't want to unintentionally hurt you." I said after I chuckled.

"You won't. Seeing you crying what makes me in pain so don't do things that will make you cry if you don't want to hurt me."

"I'll do my best."

"Now, I have to go. We're here."

"I'm... sorry if I disturbed you again. You should've got some sleep but instead, you're talking to me."

"Yah, do you want to hear corny words again?"

"Take care, Jisung! Fighting!" I said hastily before he could speak and I hung up.

I entered our room and saw few students sleeping. I quietly went to my chair and suddenly thought about Soobin.

Soobin hasn't called or text me lately. Is he that busy or did something happen?

I texted Soobin, asking him how is he doing but he didn't reply after minutes of waiting. I guess he's still sleeping, that person never leaves his bed if he doesn't need to get up.

As the minutes pass, slowly, the almost empty room is being filled by the students and it's getting noisy now. I looked at the clock and there were 10 minutes left before the class starts and Haneul is not here yet.

"Haneul! Where are you?" I called her.

"Minji, I don't think I can go today. I'm super tired. I can't even get up." She said, sounding so weak.

"Yah, are you okay?" I asked out of concern.

"Yes, I'm just not used to this routine and diet at the same time. Don't worry, I'm okay." She assured.

"If you say so. Rest well okay? I'll give you the notes later." I said and she hung up.

I guess their preparation for their debut is harsh. It's sad that they're finally getting their dream but they have to go through this before that.

Jihoon's POV

I went out of the room after talking to Woong and Raesung on the phone. I feel sad about them leaving the team, but it's their decision and I respect them. So, I didn't whine like a kid or what. I guess leaving YG taught me how to behave much more mature-like now, huh?
