Reunited
They did, in fact, land back in Mexico. It was a fifty or so miles from where Sophie and Hunter stayed before.
It was a quaint hotel, stuffy, but it provided cover and other general necessities like clean water and beds.
"I'm gonna shower," Sophie said to Hunter, grabbing a towel, "tell me if someone scores."
Hunter rolled his eyes, looking up at the Mexican football playing, "sure."
She locked the door of the bathroom, and hung her towel up, before stripping and getting in the shower.
It felt luxurious, becoming clean, being able to wash her hair. She was too exhausted to shower when they were last in Mexico so it had been days, maybe even over a week. This was a well needed wash.
After getting out of the shower, she dried off, got dressed in shorts and a top, before beginning to change her bandages.
"Soph!" She heard Hunter yell.
She said nothing, assuming it was about the football, and finished wrapping the bandage round her leg.
"Sophie!"
She tied the bandage tightly and winced, "what, Hunter?"
"Come here!!"
She groaned, getting up, making sure the bandage was secure, before heading to the door. She walked out, putting the towel in her hair to dry it.
"Is it the football?" She asked, bored.
But then she spotted the tablet in his hands, with Fitz on the screen. Her eyes widened.
"Leo!"
"Hi," he smiled widely as she came over to the screen, watching her fondly.
They had missed each other's faces.
Hunter held his arm out to help her sit down on the sofa beside him.
"Where are you? Are you okay?" She asked Fitz breathlessly.
"Fitz?" Coulson walked into the room, spotting the tablet, "how did you open Fury's toolbox?"
"Don't worry, it's safe!" He said, "I stole it first."
Sophie smiled proudly.
"You stole it?" Coulson repeated.
"Yeah."
"Fitz, you're amazing," Coulson said, "can we meet up?"
Fitz turned round as someone yelled something through the door.
"Um," he turned back round, "I'm being followed. They won't grab me, I think they're hoping I'll lead them to you first."
His eyes darted back for a second, before looking back at the screen, mainly at Sophie (although they couldn't tell that).
"Thing is," he said, "would it still be okay if I came and hung out with you? Maybe you could show me how to shake a tail. Maybe you could start, like...now?"
Sophie smiled widely and nodded, before looking up at Coulson who nodded in confirmation.
"Leo, you're in a bathroom right?" She asked, to which he nodded, "with one of those electric hand dryers?"
"Uh, oh, yes!" He exclaimed, noticing one.
Hunter smirked, exchanging a look with Sophie, "yeah, you're gonna be okay, mate."
