*~*~*

Today was a good day. Today was a decent day. At first...

It was a family reunion in a Northern village. Everyone seemed to be happy there. Growing crops, training animals, taking care of each other, & trying to protect each other.

(Y/N) was sitting in a tree, watching her family members chit-chatting. She seemed very happy to see that she & her family were able to spend time together after days of hard work. While dozing off into something, she heard a knock on the tree. She looked down to see who it was.

It was her two brothers. A fourteen-year-old named Yao & a seventeen-year-old named Khan. At the time, (Y/N) was eleven years, but they treated her like she was old enough to train with them. Every day before Dusk, (Y/N) & her brothers would go into the field & train to become warriors. Over time, they got better & better. & even made their weapons.

While her brothers made swords, (Y/N) favoured a hammer. Sure, it wasn't too warrior-like, but at least it was useful. Like anything else that could be used as a weapon. Also, the handle of the hammer nearly matched her (E/C) eyes. Which was both awesome & weird at the same time. She didn't know why, but that's how it was.

"We're about to go train," Khan said,

"This early?" (Y/N) asked,

"Yeah," Yao answered. "Mum & Dad heard about us wanting to become warriors. & now they want to see if we can take down an army of cult leaders."

(Y/N) raised an eyebrow, but shrugged anyway. She got down from the tree & landed in the grass. Like she was prepared to fight.

"Okay. Let's go," she said.

With that, the three of them began to walk to a barn. It was where they kept their weapons. Imagine bringing their weapons home. Their parents would've been pissed. Not only that, but they'll lecture them that possibly the Fire Nation will try to take them away & throw them in the war. But so far, no one from the Fire Nation had reached their village. Yet.

When they retrieved their weapons, they walked into a circle. Which contained their relatives. They all heard about the three wanting to become warriors. & they wanted to see how well they were. Maybe because they're gonna give them some advice.

"Okay, mates," Khan said. "Just pretend we are at war. Careful not to let go of your weapon. Because it would possibly whack someone around their body or in the face. & keep your focus. You don't want to lose it. Especially when you go to war."

Yao & (Y/N) nodded, understanding what Khan just said. They lifted their weapons but stood still after. They were wondering on who should go first to strike. It took almost a minute, but finally, (Y/N) swung her hammer. This alerted the boys & they immediately dodged it.

Then the 'battle' began. They were fighting differently. Khan was muttering the techniques from each swing he took on his sword, Yao was acting like he was actually at war, & (Y/N) swung her hammer, while staying cool as a cucumber. The relatives were impressed by how good they were. Yet, they were worried about if they were gonna get injured. Thankfully, they weren't planning on hurting each other. No, they were just swinging weapons & dodging. With a hint of some stunts. After growing tired, they placed their weapons in front of them. Holding onto the bottom of the handles.
