Chapter Thirty Eight

Third person pov

Athanese had already told her what happened to him since she left and Rose could only frown at the fact she wasn't there for him all these time. Currently , both of them were sitting inside Rose's room while eating their lunch in silence.

" Rose "

Athanese called out and continued

" Can you do me a favor ? "

He asked and without thinking for a second she quickly replied with a yes

" Of course, I will help you anytime  Athanese "

Rose replied with confidence

" Then , please carefully listen to what I have to say "

Athanese said and Rose nodded her head in response

" I am sure you already know that there's two faction among the council members , The one that opposes the emperor and the one that doesn't.

Whereas in my court assembly , all of the commoners and nobles support the emperor . And all of them are influential in the society. So , if something happens it will be hard to overthrow the emperor but it's not impossible "

Athanese said and continued

" Since I told you everything , You know that father used black magic and it's something that could rip him off his title, fame and life.
So if a day comes that father is not able to be present , the nobles will start to spread rumors around the empire and that's something that wouldn't favor me or Athanasia "

Athanese said as he took a long breath and continued

" So , I will send you about 50 undercover knights who have equal experience as you and I would like you to travel through the towns and prevent the rumors from spreading anymore and help citizens in name of the emperor.  I would like you to lead these knights and you won't have to worry about the money , I will cover the expenses "

Athanese said as he looked at Rose

" Of course , I agree to lead these knights but I want to ask you one question "

Rose asked seriously and Athanese nodded his head in response

" Why are you so sure that something bad is going to happen ? "

Rose asked

" It's because I know something bad is happening "

Athanese replied as he took a bite from his share of food

" So , when will the knights arrive ? "

Rose asked

" They will arrive tomorrow, around 5 am "

Athanese replied and Rose nodded her head in response

" So all we have to do is go around the towns and prevent the bad rumors about the Emperor from spreading and help people in need , right ? "

Rose questioned and Athanese nodded

" I think I should leave right now , it's already getting dark "

Athanese said as he glanced outside

" Take care of yourself

Don't die "

Rose said as her bangs covered her eyes

" Of course I wouldn't die so early , idiot . "

Athanese replied as he took one last glance at her and teleported inside the palace.
