Chapter Forty Two

Third person pov

Athanese sat down on his chair and looked at the door while waiting for Felix's arrival. He slowly stretched his hand and covered his eyes feeling the fatigue get back to him. His hand traced down to his lips and his cheeks brightened at the memory

' I didn't think I would be so bold enough to kiss him ..... What if he didn't like me and I just ....'

Athanese thought and frowned at the thought

' but he kissed me too so I kissed him back so doesn't that equal the point '

He thought as he leaned back and sighed again

' but why did he and Ijekiel kiss me to , shouldn't they like Athanasia ..... I was too happy with the affection that I forgot about the fact that I am not the one who should be receiving such affection..... '

Athanese thought as he tiredly looked at the papers infront of him .

* Knock *
*Knock *

Felix slowly knocked the door from outside and waited for the response.

" You can come inside , Felix "

Athanese stated as he watched the door open revealing Felix with a food tray on his arms and a eye blinding smile on his face

' Too bright '

Athanese thought and rubbed his eyes while glancing at Felix who kept on smiling

" I brought you food , your highness! I also brought some desserts in case you would like to have some and the maids also gave you some dry snacks "

Felix said happily as he slowly placed the food one by one infront of Athanese

' I remembered all the dishes names so the prince would know what he is eating , I hope he is happy ! '

Felix thought in excitement as he beamed happily when he began introducing the foods name , it's ingredients and how it tastes.

' I feel like I'm being constantly bombarded by informations that would never come handy in real life but I don't have the heart to say stop to Felix '

Athanese thought as he kept on listening to Felix.

'' This is chocolate cake , also known as Chocolate Gâteau . The royal chefs has used a special type of cocoa that has been exported from the eastern part of the empire . This type of cocoa is really popular among the chefs and the common people due to its rich taste...."

Felix said as he continued talking about a chocolate cake

' Felix , you are introducing the chocolate cake like it's some kind of celebrity . You can just say it's flour , eggs , chocolate etc mixed and baked and I will be impressed with just that '

Athanese thought as he smiled tiredly

" Felix , It's really impressive that you know so much about it . As expected of the Knight Of Crimson Blood "

Athanese complimented as he tried to divert Felix's attention

" T-Thank you , your highness . But please don't tease me "

Felix said as his cheeks brightened in embarrassment and Athanese smiled back since he has successfully diverted Felix's attention

" Now , did you have your dinner ? "

Athanese asked and looked at Felix who shook his head in response

" Then why don't we share this and eat together , this much food is more than enough for us "
