Chapter 10- Busted

Talk of the cruciatus curse

"Hey," Said a girl. She had close to white hair and freckles. Me, Ginny, Hannah, Luna, and Neville were sitting on the library working on our plan to steal the sword of Gryffindor as Christmas break was in 1 week.
"Hi," I replied
"I know your planning something. My name is Kaylee Samily, everyone knows your planning some trouble and I want to help," the girl stated. We all looked at each other but it wad obvious everyone had already come to the same conclusion.
"Sit down," Hannah said

Kaylee turned out to be really nice. She's a muggle-born, with two younger sisters who are both muggles. She's in 5th year and a Gryffindor but she's mature. She's also brave and a total girly girl.
"So what's my job in this?" Kaylee asked after we finally finished explaining the plan. Once again the five of us shared a glance making sure we were on the same page, before Neville stated, "Distraction," and Kaylee broke out into a smile.

"Alright is everyone clear on the plan?" I asked and everyone nodded. The plan was simple, Kaylee would set off fireworks that Ginny smuggled in from Fred and George, then Ginny, Hannah, Neville and I would run off to Snapes office. Ginny and Hannah would guard at the end of the corridor and Neville would help break in and guard the door while I go in and get the sword.
"Broo-Chloe we got this. Stop worrying," Ginny said. Kaylee gave us a weird look, I mean I get that it's weird that people keep almost calling me Brook but I'm not explaining that to her.
"But-" I started
"It's fine. It'll be fine," Ginny said
"Gin you of all people should know that we can't go through that again," I said frustrated. punishment has become the Cruciatus curse at Hogwarts.
"I do know Chlo. But we've gone over this so many times. We got this, it's foolproof," Ginny said calmly. I sighed but stopped voicing my worries.
"Okay I need to fix my makeup then we can go," Kaylee said
"Kaylee we don't have time, we have to go," Neville said nervously.
"Neville it'll be fine we're going to be fine," Kaylee said calmly
"How can you be so calm when we're about to break in to Snapes office!" Neville exclaimed
"Nev trust me, I've seen this plan it'll work," Kaylee responded. Neville sighed but allowed Kaylee to rush to the bathroom pulling me, Ginny and Luna along.

One Kaylee was done 'Beautifying' us we met Neville in livid.
"What took you so long! This is important we have to-" He ranted but he was cut off by Kaylee kissing him.
"I um I," Neville stuttered by Kaylee interrupted again.
"Let's go," She said confidently as she walked away.

Neville seemed in a daze for the mission which couldn't be good. Everything was going smoothly until the end. I had found that sword and we were running to the bathroom where we would meet Kaylee when we ran straight into Snape.
"What are you doing with my sword?" Snape drawled
"It's not yours! It's Harry's, Dumbledore left it to him," Ginny exclaimed
"Ah but it is. Now," then he called the Carrows who came along excitedly a moment later. Long story short, everyone has lots more bruises now.
