Just Being Myself

Chapter 11

3rd P.o.v 

Opening his eyes after a night full of nightmares keeps getting harder and harder for Izuku, for the first 3 hours he just stays laying on his back staring at the ceiling contemplating two things: the nightmare and forcing himself to get up.  After another 30 he finally decided to force himself out of bed, looking over to his bedside table and checking the time on his alarm he sees it is 7 am so he starts going through his morning routine.  Finishing getting ready he checks his phone and sees a message from Hitoshi and his heart flutters for a moment, see Izuku has had a crush on Hitoshi since they were 8 he just hasn't had the guts to ask him out yet. Opening his messages it reads,  

Hito
Hey you're parents told mine that you were having a rough night but didn't want to wake you, are you ok?  I can come over or you over here.

Smiling he texted back

Izu
Hi Hito I'm ok just nightmares as you know but, if you can come over that would be appreciated.

Hito
Yeah I'll be over in 10 Izu.

Izu
Thanks Hito

Closing his phone and putting it back on his bedside table he heads down stairs greeting his parent and apologizing for disturbing them last night, and Izuku's parents just looked at him like he was stupid and said not to apologize for something he can't control again.  After Izuku tried to apologize one more time and his parents flat out ignored him he sighed and sat down changing the subject and just talking to his parents. About 7 mins later there was a knock on the door Izuku went to get it knowing it was Hitoshi, when he opened the door and welcomed him inside the minute Hitoshi set his things down he hugged Izuku.  The moment when Hitoshi looked into Izuku's eyes after he opened the door he knew he needed a hug and that's exactly what he was gonna do to comfort him until he was ok.  When Hitoshi hugged him he was not expecting it but he knew he should have knowing that he could read him so well after all these years, after the initial shock he broke down and started crying holding onto Hitoshi like his life depended on it and that was ok with Hitoshi because he knew Izuku would not tell him what happened in the nightmare so he would do his best to make him feel safe whatever way he could.  

Picking Izuku up he wrapped his arms and legs around Hitoshi and he started heading to Izuku's room passing the boy's parents and giving them a small nod and getting one in return he kept going.  Making it to Izuku's room and closing the door for privacy he sat them on the bed and just rocked them back and forth rubbing small circles on the small of his back, about 20 minutes later the crying quieted down and Izuku started apologizing while keeping his head in Hitoshi's neck.  Hitoshi just shook his head and chuckled with a small smile and told Izuku to stop apologizing.  What Izuku doesn't know is that Hitoshi also has feelings for him so he really didn't mind helping Izuku with anything really because this is his best friend and crush, the person who was his first ever friend, the first to be nice to him, and the first to actually help him.  So, when he got saved that day from his biological parents by Shota, Hizashi, and Izuku he promised himself to always be there for him and try to repay the debt he thinks he owes.  Adjusting their positions Hitoshi laid them down and pulled Izuku close and just told him to take his time and Izuku would do just that because he really needed Hitoshi right now.

About 3 hours later it was around 10 ish and Izuku had decided he was hungry and it was time to go eat something and free Hitoshi.  Pulling away Hitoshi cupped his face and looked into his eyes to see how he was doing because he knew if he asked if he was ok now Izuku would lie to his face if he wasn't, seeing that he was ok enough for now they got up and headed down stairs seeing Inko in the living room she said there was food for them in the fridge from this mornings breakfast that neither ate, saying thanks they went and got the food heated it and sat having a quiet conversation and eating.  

That was until after they finished Mei ran into the house screaming her UA letter came and Hitoshi's phone dinging from his dad saying his letter was at their house.  Now, everyone was excited to see how they did so after about 30 mins they all gathered after Hitoshi got back with his, and opened them together.  No surprise they all got in Hitoshi and Izuku in class 1A and Mei in 1H the support class, Mei was squealing along with Inko and her saying congratulations to the three teens.  They all said thanks and shared a group hug, and just going about the rest of their days talking and laughing while watching movies and playing games to cheer Izuku up even though he didn't know it was for him they all knew he needed it.  

After a very talkative dinner with everyone Mei had to leave and give the news to her family but not before hugging her second family and whispering to Izuku to call her if he needs anything, and then she left.  Hitoshi stayed knowing his parents knew and telling them that he was staying to make Izuku feel safe they texted back telling him ok and to make sure their problem child was back to his sassy self by tomorrow, he said will do.  Izuku and Hitoshi said good night to his parents and headed up to change and go to sleep or just stay up if Izuku didn't want to sleep.  Getting into bed Hitoshi opened his arms and Izuku gladly excepted the cuddles and they just stayed up quietly talking and cuddling the rest of the night.  Izuku was back to himself in the morning.
