Dice sighed as he walked into his room, undoing his bowtie and taking off his coat, he threw his bloody coat and undershirt into the trash, he had about 10 suits, so losing one wasn't a big deal to him, he made more than enough being manager to buy whatever he needed. He took off his dress pants and changed into a pair of black pajama pants, he flopped down on his bed and stared at the ceiling, this was always the worst part of his day- well night, being alone in his room with his thoughts, it wasn't as bad as it used to be, but it could still be awful. And tonight was one of the nights where it was awful. He sighed and got up, going to his vanity and grabbing the sleeping pills out of it, he grabbed two and swallowed them dry. He picked up his deck of cards and started doing tricks to distract himself while he waited for the pills to take effect.

Meanwhile, the Devil was trying to focus on work. Trying to get King Dice out of his head, he was thinking about his smile and how soft he could be, but only around him. He knew Dice loved him still, he had used his demon eyes on him to see that he still desired the Devil's love. Of course, he wouldn't admit it now, being angry and believing that the Devil had no romantic feelings for him. The Devil pours himself a cup of demon bourbon, he knew that wouldn't help much but at least it might allow him to move his thoughts from King Dice, but of course, it didn't. If anything, it just made him think more about the charming mortal. He sighs, putting his head down on his desk. "Ugh, Dice why'd you have to be so charming and lovable?"

The next morning, the two of them were back to business as usual, this time Dice told the bouncers not to let in the cups for any reason, no matter what they claimed. He was walking around casually, making sure everything was going smoothly. That was until he got summoned to the boss' office. He sighs, worried what it would be about this time. He goes up to the doors and before he can even knock he was pulled into the office.

"Boss?"

"Dice, I was hoping you could help me with something." The Devil said

"Oh? What do you need boss?" Dice asked curiously.

"I need some help brushing my fur, I can't easily reach behind me right now, and besides, you always do  it better." The Devil responds, handing him a brush.

Dice chuckles softly, "Is this just an excuse to spend time with me?" He teased and he followed him back to his chair and started to brush his surprisingly soft fur.

"An excuse? To spend time with you?" He scoffs, "I don't need an excuse for that. I would just ask you if that's what I wanted."

"Mhm, well, why do you keep callin' me during work hours then?" Dice asked, as he gently brushed out a tangle

The Devil grumbles a little, "Okay fine, I do want to spend more time with you, but we're both always so busy and exhausted after work."

Dice chuckles, "Maybe I am, but you are incapable of getting tired, you sleep because you think it's fun."

The Devil rolls his eyes, despite the fact that Dice couldn't see it, "So what? That doesn't mean that I'm not busy often." he grumbled

"Well boss, you can always ask me for help, and I'm always willin' to spend time with you." Dice responds as he sets the brush down, "I better get back out there before someone does somethin' stupid, I'll swing by after my shift, okay?"

The Devil pouts a bit but nods, "Okay, you better keep your word on that."

"Of course I will boss when haven't I kept my word?" Dice jokes, knowing that there were many times he hadn't kept his word, but he never broke his word when it came to the Devil, no matter how tired or mad he was, he always kept his word to the Devil.

"Ha! You and I both know, I could name at least 5 times you haven't but, I'll just have to hope you keep it." The Devil jokes back as Dice leaves his office with a wave. The Devil smiles to himself, excited to see Dice after his shift ended.
