Chapter 3

I squatted behind the large boulders, using it as a shield so we were out of view. Newt was with me, waiting for Thomas's signal. This had to work. It was a brilliant plan. We had been working on it for a long time, so I just hoped it would go smoothly.

"love? You sure you're ok?" Newt asked me again.

"Yeah, just praying that this will work"

"We'll get him back"

"What happens after this, after we get him back?"

"Well, we go to the safe haven, where wicked can't touch us and start our new lives"

"Newt, I uh, probably should have told you this earlier, I know it's the worst timing but..."

"I didn't knock you up did I?" He asked worried.

"What the fuck? No!"

"Oh, sorry, I panicked" he chuckled.

"No, it's something about you that you won't remember but I know about"

"Ok what is it?"

I looked at him, with his fluffy jacket on. Hair messy and fluffy. I wasn't sure how he would react to the news, so I took in a deep breath. "You know Sonya?" I asked.

"Yeah, blondie from group B, friends with Aris what about her?"

"Ummm, well, she's kind of your sister"

He froze, staring at me with widened eyes and an open mouth."She's- what?"

"She's your little sister Newt, I just thought I'd probably tell you"

"Sonya's my sister?"

"Yes"

"Holy klunk" He rubbed the back of his neck " I didn't even think about having siblings"

"Yeah, but she won't remember either, so if we get her back then, I don't mind giving you two a little space to talk about it"

"Really?"

I nodded calmly. Remembering how close Newt and Sonya were before the maze gave me a little courage to tell him. Their sibling bond was so tight, I had to give them a chance to build it up again at least.

"Oh you're the best" He hugged me tightly " I love you so much"

"I love you too" I giggled.

"NEWT!" I heard Thomas shout.

This was it, it's time to go.
