I entered the room, past the cranks behind the glass who screeched and clawed. I had gotten used to them now. They didn't bother me anymore.

I walked up to Shai, in her chair "Shai?"

"Miss Teresa?" She asked.

"Hey" I sat down next to her.

"Hi"

"How are you feeling?"

"Ok"

"That's good" I grabbed the medicine.

"Is that gonna make me better?"

"I hope so" I smiled reassuringly "Do you remember the story you were telling me? About the house tou grew up in?"

"I don't remember" She shook her head.

"The one by the lake?" I injected the needle into her forearm.

"Ah!" She winced "It burns" She started panting heavily.

"I know, I know" I quickly took it out " There all done, you're so brave"

She sighed in relief, and her eyes began to fade back to their normal white colour. Everyone else working stopped and stared in shock...

After having a conference with Minho, which shook me up enough, one of the nurses rushed over.

"Teresa, it's shai"

I hurried over to the room, and watched through the window. She looked worse, and was thrashing and growling violently in her chair. It didn't work.

"I'm sorry Teresa" Ava said.

Shai, wasn't going to make it, because of me.

"We're going to run some more trials on Minho, and try again"

I paused "More? Hasn't he had enough?"

"Teresa. You're doing the right thing"

Then why does it feel so wrong to me?
