Danielle's POV
"How was your day?" I ask Brendon as soon as I fasten my seatbelt. "It was good. The album's coming along nicely and soon we'll finish that, I guess. What about you?" "The same as usual, we had a test in chemistry. I think that I failed that one though. So we're going to mum's, right?" I say and look at him. He nods and stops at a red light. "Yeah, we wouldn't stay for long. The guy you spoke to was Frank, right?" "Yeah. He goes to my class. He's pretty cool." "What about your other friend, Anna? Are you still talking?" he asks and looks at me for a second. "We talk but I really want to see her, I mean I haven't seen her for a year." "Uh. Don't worry about it, it's the holidays soon, am I right?" he smiles and stops the car. "Right. Why do you ask?" "We'll talk about it later, let's go inside and make it quick." he says as he gets out of the car. As we walk towards the door he gives me a small smile. I was afraid. I was afraid of my mother. I had no idea why but I just was. I was happy about the fact that I lived with Brendon. As we got to the door I knocked and took a step back. My mother opens the door and smiles when she sees Brendon. "Hey Brendon!" she says and smiles widely. Her smile fades as she spots me. "What's she doing here?" she says with a bit of disappointment in her voice. "She's your daughter, mum, what do you mean by 'what is she doing here?'" Brendon asks and takes a step forward. "Brendon, I meant it when I said that she is not a part of our family. I told you that I never wanted to see her again. What part of that didn't you understand?" my mother spits and looks at me. "You know what? Fuck you. Don't try to contact me again. Dani, go to the car." he says as he looks at me. I nod quickly and walk towards the car. "Brendon Boyd Urie! Watch your attitude, I am still your mother!" "And so are you hers but you know what? I don't want to know you. You're freaking sick." Brendon says as he turns around to walk towards the car with me. I get into the car and let out a sigh. "Hey, it's gonna get better. Wanna go to the record store?" he says as soon as he gets into the car and starts it. "It would be nice." I say as I turn the radio on. A familiar tune runs trough the air. Paramore. Brick by Boring Brick to be more specific. "It's all gonna work out, you just have to trust me." he smiles as we ride trough the streets of Chicago.
