PR to Mrs Norris - Edited version

First race

This is it the start of the season, things looked promising in winter testing so let's hope this can be a good season for McLaren and Mercedes! We are currently at Heathrow airport, I drove me and Lando from home, he is going to be doing enough driving this weekend! Daniel and him have a good friendship as well as me and George so let's have some fun with this years championship.

I still hate flying, looking out of the plane window and seeing the world down below makes my stomach churn. Lando grabs my hand and it immediately calms me down and I focus on relaxing. "It's okay Mols! It's a long flight to start off, but it's always worth it" We touch down in Australia 15 hours later after a change at Singapore. I'm absolutely exhausted and I can't wait to collapse into bed. I'm up early with Lando tomorrow to get in some cardio before we head to the track for the day, he has some data and other stuff to look over with the engineers and I need to make sure that George has everything he needs for the weekend ahead.

My alarm rings at 6.45am, I drag myself to the bathroom and brush my teeth and scrape my hair back. I will shower once we return. I give Lando a small shake and he shoots me an adorable smile "time to get up baby" I tell him, it takes a few seconds for him to climb out of bed "Lets go Lands!" I shout earning a glare from him "Jeez Mols you are far too awake this morning" he says rubbing his face. I waste no time hurrying him out of the hotel and we go on a 7k run taking us about half an hour "keep pace we need that heart rate high" he says as we get halfway through. Once we are finished we are both more awake and ready to take on the day "see you in 20?" I ask as I head into the bathroom "sure" he says flopping himself onto the bed.

I'm now showered and dressed with a bit of make up on for the day. I'm hoping to have a free hour to find Charles, we have been keeping in touch but I know Lando isn't a fan of our friendship. A knock sounds on my door and I let George in "just packing my bag" I say grabbing all the things I need and flinging them in a backpack. "How is your room this tidy? Mine always looks like a bomb hit it!" George comments and I laugh "I guess I'm just more tidy than you" he grins "I suppose you are! Now I know I have interviews so let's move!" I sling my backpack over my shoulders "come on Lando! to the paddock we go" we run about like a couple of children but I'm loving every minute! Once we arrive Lando is stolen away by Charlotte "see ya in a bit Mols!" Before he goes I hand him a little present, a jar full of salad cream sachets, he LOVES salad cream on everything! I thought it would be a nice first race present! "This is amazing! Thank you! I love you" He says, kissing me softly before heading off. Me and George head Mercedes and enter his drivers cabin to set out his race gear and drop some snacks off.

I'm back in the garage helping the mechanics with setting up the car. As I have mentioned My Dad was a mechanic for McLaren back in the day and he taught me pretty much all I know! The guys at McLaren always let me help out when I had the free time which is usually after the race on Sunday's and I'm pleased to say that Mercedes have let me help as well. Bono heads over to speak to me "how's George settling in?" He questions "pretty good, he is very excited so he might need to reign that in a little" he nods "I reckon he is just what this team needs" I agree with him. George appears in the garage "time to go?" I ask "yeah Mols let's get a move on! I hope I get asked less questions, I know I'm new but hopefully I'm not the most interesting story" I smile knowing full well how popular he is going to be but I'm sure Lando will have more questions to answer concerning the recent events with Amelie "I'm loving the optimism George!" He smiles at me.

We have just finished up our last interview when My phone starts ringing and I see it's charles "Hey there Leclerc what can I do for ya?" He chuckles "well I was hoping to catch up with my friend if she is free?" I giggle "give me 10 I will meet you at Ferrari" I let him know "perfect see you in a few" I hang up and see George looking grumpy "does Lando know about this?" He questions and I shake my head grabbing my bag "guess you are off?" I give him a look "I'm done for my day George" he nods "I'm gonna chat with the engineers for a bit" I nod "okay see you later!" I say as I let Josh know to call me if he needs anything. The team are pretty relaxed with me on Thursdays as long as I make sure I'm on top of George's PR.
