3 months later (present time)...

England's POV:

It's been 3 months since I was forced to abandon my father at the Hospital. If my mother or Shane hadn't forced me into Glenn's car that day we'd all probably would've been dead. Apparently, the government had given us a warning that they were going to bomb the cities near Atlanta, but they didn't. If we would've stayed there another 30 minutes we wouldn't be here today.

And by here I mean camped out with a bunch of people in a quarry just outside of Atlanta. In these 3 months that we've been here, I've made friends. We've all gotten to know each other well, and we've all become really good friends. Everyone gets along fine and we've all enjoyed one another's presence...Except some are more distant like the Dixon brothers. They do their part to help us out by going hunting and bringing us back some animals to eat. But other than that they hide out in their tent.

By them, I mean Daryl Dixon. He's the quietest out of both Dixon brothers, which I kind of understand. He doesn't really know any of us, so it's understandable to be cautious and what want your own space. He and I have communicated a few times, but it's rare when we do talk. Like I said, he's practically a loner...

Glenn and I have also done our part in helping the group by going out on runs and bringing back supplies from the city. Whatever we need like medicine, clothing, etc. Since the bombings, everything has changed. There aren't many people around in the cities, it's like it was the start of the apocalypse.

Glenn and I have killed these things that have attacked us. You can tell that they used to be humans, but have no memory of who they are. They eat on the flesh of living things and only ever attack. They're dead, but they're not really gone...

The men here are always watching out just in case we stumble upon a walker (that's what we call them)  and the women do their part in cleaning and making food. I help them from time to time when I am not out on runs.

Today is actually the first time a whole group of volunteers will be going out on a run. I wonder how that will go.

"England, hey wait!" I'm interrupted from my peaceful walk by the sound of Glenn's annoying voice. "Damn, you walk fast." He states out of breath. I laugh at him.

"Is there something you need, babe?" He rolls his eyes at me and we continue walking.

"How many times have I told you to stop calling me that? I'm saving that world for my future lover." I laugh.

"How many times have I told you that I will not stop until you DO meet your lover?" I tease. He mumbles whatever under his breath.

"Anyways, I came to let you know that we're all ready to leave. We're rolling out in 10." I nod. "You know it sucks you're not coming. I mean it's the first time bringing a group and actually going out there after a month... Don't you miss you being out there?" I sigh.

"Of course, I do. It's just... I-I'm not ready. After what happened last time. I-"

"It's okay. I understand. We don't need to talk about it. Come on...Go say bye to everyone." We make it back up the hill and to the crowded area.

"You best come back in one shape." I hear Dale tell Andrea. I like Dale; he's like a Grandpa figure. He's the one who takes care of everyone here.

"I will," Andrea responds by hugging her sister Amy who happens to be one of my best friends. I look around and see people hugging and wishing them the best. I stop on two certain brothers. They seem to be having a serious conversation. Then again when are they not?
