England's POV:

*Ring* *Ring*

My phone chimes waking me up in the process. The ringing lets me know that I have an incoming call and I pick it up without looking at the caller id.

"Hello?" I cringe at the sound of my voice. I sound terrible in the morning...

I wait for a moment and no one responds. I sit upright and rub my eyes to take the sleep away. "Um... Hello?" I repeat.

"Hey! S-Sorry for some reason my phone isn't working right. I- know what it is." Glenn speaks up. Static can be heard on the other end, how weird. It feels like he's speaking through a bloody radio.

"Oh, hey. Uh.. It's cool. Um, What's up?" I ask. I get out of bed and walk into my bathroom. Putting my phone on speaker and laying it on the counter so I can brush my teeth.

"Just wanted to call to see how you were doing. A-And I was wondering if you-um-wanted to go out for breakfast? Just t - two of us. You know, take your mind off things....I can drive you to the hospital afterwards..." He says, kind of sounds like he's nervous. The hell's wrong with him?

"Um... I-I don't know Glenn. I promised mum I would head right over to the hospital..."

"P-Please, England...I-I promise I won't take long.." He still sounds nervous, almost like he's about to freak out..

"Um..okay. Yeah, sure. Is-is everything alright, Glenn?"

"Yeah!" He screeches out causing me to look at the phone-mid brushing. He clears his throat and repeats himself. "Y-Yeah. Um, I'll just explain later. I'm picking you up in 20. Bye," He murmurs out and hangs up.

"Oh... uh okay. I guess. Weirdo." I shake my head at his weirdness. I go into my closet, put on a clean pair of jeans, and make my way to my parent's room. I go straight to my dad's drawers and take one of his big shirts. I sigh. He'll be okay. I pep talk myself all down the stairs and into the kitchen where I am greeted with the scent of bacon.

I see Shane at the stove area flipping a pancake and mum sitting at the coffee reading a newspaper. I can hear the news on tv from across the room.

"Morning," I say giving my mum a kiss on the head and sitting next to her.

"Good morning," They responded.

"Did you sleep okay, honey?" Mum asks, taking a sip of her coffee. I nod a little.

"Yeah...I guess so.." I look over at the tv, the news reporter talking about a sickness going around cities. How everyone is freaking out because they think it's going to affect them. I roll my eyes, damn people. They're acting as if it's the end of the bloody world, we've got bigger things to worry about.

"At least the important thing is you got some sleep. In your own bed." Mum says, gaining my attention once more.

"Yeah... Glenn's picking me up in a few minutes," I say, causing mum to look at me away from her newspaper. I nod my head. "Yeah, says he has something he wants to talk to me about privately."

"What? You're leaving?" Shane asks me. He puts a plate down of bacon in the middle of the table. "I'm making pancakes for breakfast..figured we could all eat together." I look down at the bacon, just looking at it makes me kind of nauseous.

"I'm not really hungry..." I say. It doesn't feel right to eat as a "family" without my father here.

"You're loss. Unlike your mom here, I make some killer pancakes." My scoffs and rolls her eyes as Shane laughs going back to flip a pancake he has on a pan. How can they act so normal and happy?
