The next morning, Chen Yu heads into the station to hand over the mysterious note. After several colleagues have inquired about his condition, he begins to feel uncomfortable. It's nearly noon as he finally leaves the station and his cell begins to ring. He glances at the caller id, but the number is unfamiliar to him."Hello?" He asks, with a bit of confusion.
"Uhm, hello. Officer Chen?" The melodic voice of Dr. Gu asks nervously. "You might not remember me..." He's quickly cut off.
"Of course I remember you Doc, I don't give my number to just anyone." Chen Yu grins to himself. "So, anything I can do for you?"
"Ahem." Dr. Gu clears his throat a couple of times before he continues. "Well, you said to call when I had some down time. I'm on-call today, but barring an emergency, I'm free for lunch if you are available?" He doesn't realize he's holding his breath awaiting a response.
"As I told you last night Doc, I am available. Just name the time and place." Chen Yu realizes that he's actually quite eager to see the handsome doctor again.
"There's this great little café downtown called Bu Wang, do you know it?" Gu Wei asks, as he nervously twirls a pen between his fingers.
"Yeah, I know it. I'm just leaving the station. I can meet you there in about twenty minutes?" Chen Yu asks, as he slides one long leg over his motorcycle to sit astride it.
"Ahh.. uhm, yeah. Twenty minutes sounds great. I'll see you then." He hangs up before he tries to back out.
Chen Yu grins down at his phone before placing it in his pocket and starting his motorcycle. He heads towards downtown with a smile he hadn't known he was wearing.

As Chen Yu pulls up to the café Gu Wei, who has been waiting for about fifteen minutes, glances up. What he sees is Chen Yu effortlessly glide his right leg over the seat of a large motorcycle. He's wearing a pair of old jeans with holes in the knees, but they hug his hips and buttocks perfectly. Today he's not wearing a jacket, just a plain black t-shirt that fits tight across his broad chest. He removes his helmet and runs a hand through his hair before heading towards the café.
Gu Wei realizes he's slightly biting his own lower lip as he watches the man approaching. He thinks to himself, 'Get it together!' And tries to shake away the blush he feels crawling up his neck.
"Hey Doc, I hope I didn't keep you waiting." Chen Yu's smile could melt someone's insides. He takes the seat across from Gu Wei and looks him up and down slowly, taking his time to appreciate what he sees. And what he see's is a handsome and confident looking man. Gu Wei is wearing a plain white button down shirt tucked neatly into a pair of black slacks. He's also wearing a pair of sexy looking glasses he didn't have on last night. Chen Yu nearly let's out a soft moan, but manages to suppress it.
"No, I.. I haven't been waiting long at all. How's the arm feeling today? Are you able to move it properly?" Gu Wei is genuinely concerned.
"Doc, is this a house call? I thought it was a date." Chen Yu grins as he watches Gu Wei blush and offer a shy, but beautiful smile. It's only now that Chen Yu notices a pair of sexy dimples appear on the doctor's face, as his smile spreads.
"Sorry, you're absolutely right... this is a date." He suddenly looks directly into Chen Yu's eyes and it's as if they both get lost. They're still staring into each other's eyes, as a waitress steps up. "Ahem, I'll take a coffee, black."
"I'll have an iced latte, please." Chen Yu cocks his head to look at Gu Wei, as the waitress leaves to grab their drinks.
The next twenty minutes are spent like most first dates, relating trivial information about themselves; what types of music they like, favorite movies, favorite colors... simple ice breaker stuff.
