Chen Yu stumbles into the entryway and his stomach flips. There's so much blood, he closes his eyes for a second and steels himself. When he opens them again, he sighs in relief that the body on the floor isn't Gu Wei. He raises his gun and begins moving forward, quickly and cautiously. A bloody hand wraps around his ankle and he turns, jerking his leg away.

"The... stairs. Song took him... upstairs. Second room on the right, hurry." Xiao Song's voice is raspy and he coughs up a mouthful of blood.

Chen Yu nods and heads up the stairs three at a time. He's listening intently and he hears what sounds like a fight behind the door of the room Xiao Song mentioned. He can see a bullet hole in the door. His heart nearly stops at the sound of Gu Wei's voice.

"I said don't touch me! Shoot me, but don't you fucking touch me!" Gu Wei yells and the sound of a man groaning in pain is heard.

Chen Yu kicks-in the door just in time to see Gu Wei stab a blade into Song's side. Song's eyes widen, both from the pain and the sight of Chen Yu. He puts Gu Wei in a chokehold and picks up the gun he'd dropped.

"Ahh, you found us and fast. I underestimated you." Song says pointing the gun to Gu Wei's head. "Drop your weapon, now." He pokes the barrel of his gun into Gu Wei's temple.

Gu Wei shakes his head, his eyes pleading with Chen Yu not to do it. Chen Yu can see the terror in Gu Wei's eyes and tosses his weapon aside without a second thought. He mistakes that terror for Gu Wei's fear of death, in fact, it's a fear of watching the man he loves die before him.

"What now?" Gu Wei grits out between his teeth. He's asking Chen Yu, as he stealthily unsheathes another blade. Chen Yu subtlety shakes his head.

"I'm curious. Just how much does this Doctor mean to you Officer?" Song says, now pointing his gun at Chen Yu.

Chen Yu takes a deep breath and confidently strides forward. Gu Wei unconsciously takes a couple of steps toward him and reaches a shaking hand out, as Song releases his hold. Chen Yu grabs his face with both hands and kisses him passionately. He hears a scoff from behind Gu Wei, as he trails a hand down his arm. He slides the blade from Gu Wei's palm and kisses his forehead.

"Everything." Chen Yu finally answers. "He means everything to me."

With these words he pivots, turning his own back to Song and becoming a human shield for Gu Wei. He lets loose the blade hidden in his hand. Before Song can even react, his eyes pop wide and he drops his gun, clutching frantically at the blade now lodged in his throat. As Song falls to his knees, choking on his own blood, a commotion can be heard downstairs. Wu Zhen Feng's frantic voice rings out.

"Didi! A'Wei!" Wu Zhen Feng charges up the stairs.

"Here ge!" Chen Yu calls out, cradling Gu Wei close.

Wu Zhen Feng bursts through the door and sees Song about to collapse in a bloody heap on the floor. He looks up at Chen Yu and Gu Wei and sighs in relief with a grin. He walks toward them as Song falls to all fours, reaching for his gun.

"Look out!" Wu Zhen Feng calls out, raising his gun.

Two shots ring out, as Chen Yu cradles Gu Wei in his arms. He gives a soft grunt and hears Song's body hit the floor. He looks up to see Wu Zhen Feng standing pale and wide eyed. He glances back at Song's lifeless body, a bullet hole now between his eyes.

"Nice shooting ge." Chen Yu grins and looks at Gu Wei, brushing his thumb across his swollen lower lip. "Are you okay lao gong?"

"What took you so long?" Gu Wei asks, tears flowing like water from his eyes. He wraps his arms around Chen Yu and gasps in shock. "You're bleeding! Were you shot? Let me see!" His voice rises in fear and shock.
