Annabeth closed her eyes and mouthed the words she'd been memorizing.

She'd never cared about the small tests they had to write in the school year. She never bothered to study for them either. That's one advantage of being a daughter of Athena. Her History teacher had told the students that these grades would help them for their final exams.

Bullshit.

But it somehow got to her head and she'd been stressed over it ever since. And with her ADHD, focusing was a trouble.

Especially with a sleeping Percy drooling on her lap.

She twirled the small piece of chalk in her fingers, ready to write what she learnt on the black board in front of her.

"Annabeth...." Percy mumbled in his sleep, snuggling closer into her waist.

She smiled down at her sleeping boyfriend, soflty caressing his cheek before placing a soft kiss there.

She slowly moved her fingers to his pants, down to his thigh, reaching into his pocket.

She fished out a Hershey's kiss and held it in her left hand.

She wrote the questions on the board, closed the book and sighed.

"An essay on the nature and significance...." She muttered the answer to herself while doodling on Percy's cheek, making a small, adorable smile appear on his face.

She smiled again, still muttering, her heart melting at the sight.

Gods, what did she do to deserve him?

Seeing him sleep made her want to curl up next to him, listening to his steady heartbeat, giving in to his warmth. The soft, fluffy bed didn't help her exhaustion either. But she stayed up, wanting to atleast finish something, or she might lose the marks. Yup, she hated the school system.

She signed again, and popped the chocolate in her mouth.

Only she thought it was the chocolate.

She immediately spit whatever it was out and coughed. Looking at the floor, she realized she had eaten the chalk. And she swallowed some.

She coughed violently, swerving her head left and right in search of water.

Percy groggily woke up to the shaking, but when he saw her in the brink of death, all sleep left his eyes.

"Woah, woah. Calm down, Wise girl." He gripped her shoulders, his eyes wide.

"Water," She croaked.

Percy got a bottle of water from the side of the desk -where had 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 come from?- and gave it to her. She took a long swig of water, swallowing the bitter taste before setting the bottle down.

"I accidentally ate a chalk," she told him.

"You-" his eyes flickered from her to the chocolate on the table and down to his pockets. Realization dawned on his face.

His eyes filled with amusement, "You need sleep, Wise girl." At the word sleep, both of them yawned making them chuckle.

"But-" she started.

"No buts. Please. Look at those bags under your eyes. You look like a panda right now."

She rolled her eyes, "Thank you."

He closed his eyes and smiled. "Come on."

"Noooo. Just 2 more questions, I swear. Or maybe three..."

Before she could process what was happening, she was on his shoulder, getting a nice view of his butt.

She wasn't surprised and she certainly wasn't complaining.

Sadly, it was short lived.

Percy placed her on the bed, laid down next to her and pulled her close to him.

"Sleep." He said, gently kissing her all over her face.

With her head on his chest and the warmth of his body, she didn't need to be told twice.
