At ten pm, the message had said. That means I'm going to have to leave right now. The place she mentioned is far from here and I checked the plane tickets since I could just rent a car but no, not a single ticket was available.

The first I had a doubt was when she stopped calling me every day, and the second time was when she mentioned she was missing red velvet cake which I don't even know how to make one and she hates that flavor with all her guts. I told Ryan about it, and he went to her apartment two days ago, but he hasn't called me yet. Everything is starting to irritate me. And the message that I received proved she was and is in trouble. Even that night, when she had called me I had a feeling that something was wrong. I know she was crying. What did she think? I wouldn't recognize her crying voice? I knew everything there was to know about her, and I couldn't shrug the feeling after that night. I called Sophia, a coworker of Roelyn's every day just to know if they had heard anything from her but no. Rose was gone, just like that. I spend hours that day at the airport waiting to meet her only for her not to arrive.

She told me not to tell anyone else about everything that she messaged. I don't know what she expected me to say when I don't know what's even happening.

I slam the door shut and take a deep breath. It's going to be a long drive, on top of that I'm alone with no one to talk to during the entire ride.

Kidnapped? What did she mean when she said she was kidnapped? If she was kidnaped why didn't anybody call us asking for money? Why?

This had better not be a joke because if it is, I'm going to lock her up somewhere until she learns not to lie about big things like this. But I know her, she couldn't have lied. But who in the world would kidnap her? My best friend who doesn't even talk to many people, is kidnapped? I can't believe this. After entering the highway, I press harder on the accelerator and the car speeds of. I've barely slept with these images of her crying her eyes out somewhere in a dark basement. I'm surprised she survived till now. She is not someone who can handle a lot of emotions at once, which is why we talk every day so she can process them without having to feel like she has to deal with everything all at once. Not much has happened in her life and to think someone kidnapped her, she must have felt like a storm came and destroyed everything.

I knew I shouldn't have let her live alone but I didn't want her to think I was stopping her from a positive change in life and now she is nowhere to be found. How will she end up in that hotel today? I have been praying she is alright. If what she said happened I know mentally she won't be fine but I'll fucking kill that person if they physically hurt her or have done something worse.

Hold on Roselyn, I'll be there.

I reached the hotel around 9:40 pm. And my body aches. After parking the car I get out and strech my legs. I'm so tired.

This hotel is quite large, and everything screams obscene wealth. Why would they bring her here? When I get to the hotel, I notice a few strange men outside. Something isn't right. I hope I'm not too late.

"Excuse me," I say as I approach the reception desk.

The receptionist raises her head and scrunches her face. I must look like hell with constant driving but she can keep that judgy look to look to herself.

"Yes. What can I help you with?" She asks politely as if she didn't just judge me.

"Can you look at a name? If they are staying here?" I ask despite knowing the kidnappers won't be foolish enough to use her name for check-in. But who knows?

"I'm sorry. We cant do that." She says and focuses back on the computer screen.

"Please miss," I plead knowing I can't risk, she could be here, "Can you please look for one person. They know me. If she is here you can call her room and ask her." She ignores my words and I'm getting frustrated. First, I drove twelve hours to reach her and now she is ignoring me. I'm going to blast any second.
