Chapter Ten (Foxy)
I turn back on as soon as the clock strikes twelve. I inhale and exhale slowly. I hate having flash backs. With a sigh, I stand up and see that Mangle has left. I shrug and make my way towards the office. Might as well try to scare the night guard.
Scaring the night guard always gets things off my mind. Whether it was flashbacks, Mangle having a go at me, or children being crazy. I make my way to the hall and stand there. Menacing. I see the night guard flash the light a few times and then pull up the cameras. I could scare him now... but I decide not to. It is only 12.
Chica comes from behind me, with her cupcake. "Hi." She whispers. I turn and see her smiling at me. And that cupcake is smiling at me too.
"Hey." I reply in a whisper. The light is flashed again and I hear a groan from the night guard. I do understand where he's coming from. Chica being around can make people a bit miserable at times. Not being offensive to her, or anything, but she likes pizza. A lot.
When it turns one, Chica leaves. I'm still stand there, staring at the night guard. And then I hear someone in the vents. A static sounds and I know that its Mangle, trying to contact the Police. I've tried on many occasions to tell her that there arent any criminals. Why would anyone, let alone a criminal, come to work at a pizzeria?
I hear the night guard whimper, and the Freddy suit go on. I guess its time for me to attack. I run down the hall and leap. But instead of human flesh that I jump into, I crash into metal. My eyes fly open and I'm staring down at an angry Mangle. Her nose is nearly touching mine, and I hear her angry breathing.
"What are you doing?" She growls. I lick my lips, wondering how I could reply. But before I can, she speaks again. "I was going to get the night guard and then you jumped on me!"
"I was trying to get the night guard too." I reply. Mangle glares at me, and then attempts to push me off. When I don't budge, she narrows her green eyes.
"Could you possibly get off?" Mangle demands. Or asks. I'm not sure.
"Oh, oh yeah." I push myself off of my fox counterpart, who glares at me as she leaves. I'm definetly in her bad book now.
The rest of the night I spend in the Arcade, with BB. Balloon Boy chats freely, but I stay quiet. My mind is on something else. On that day that I told Freddy. The day when I betrayed Mangle's trust in me.
When the bell goes for six o'clock I heave myself back up and head back to the cove. I find Mangle hanging from the ceiling. She doesn't speak as I sit on my stool.
I don't make an effort to start a conversation. I've realised that Mangle is right. I don't deserve to be forgiven. I made a mistake. And I'll never forget it.
